I enjoyed reading your contest entry. You definitely described hope and the things we all hope for. I also enjoyed the rhyming scheme. Thank you for sharing this with us and good luck with the contest.

There is a sweet innocence to your verse, enhanced by your aabb rhyme pattern...
Seems we spend our lifetime hoping for one blessing or another! So many of these things can be accomplished by being kind to our fellow man...

Your well-written, deeply thoughtful poem conveys a moving message about our many hopes in life--ranging from simple everyday desires and needs to the soul-deep ones centering around the Lord.

Sweet verses. I was able to visualize so much of what you said here, especially the little children and the wounded bird. It is true we sometimes struggle but having hope and faith in Jesus is our comfort.

You writing conveys the feelings you are describing very well. The rhyme is clean and the quatraines nicely contained. It is well done wothout being florid.

Nice little poem about hope and the more. It has a good use of imagery and wording. They're many things to hope for but your right, hope has a name.
Keep up the good work!

You have a smooth poetic flow of words and lines. "We hope to feel Jesus close by" is my favorite line. It brings forth a warm feeling to know that Jesus is near us. Excellent poem with an important theme.

Thank you very much. I thought it would be a winner in the feelings contest I entered it in. Maybe it will win the poem of the month contest.

Your writing is so uplifting. One can't help but smile at the joy it brings and at the hope it gives. Your choice of photo to accompany the poem is very good. Keep inspiring.

Wonderful poem. The repetition of " we hope" is a very effective tool here and the surprise of mention of children is so lovely. A delight to have read this refreshing poem.

You have certainly highlighted some of the most joyous things in life that we can hope for. During these difficult times, we need to remind ourselves to be grateful for small blessings - never taking them for granted. The laughter of children, the chirping of birds, the scent of roses. Very uplifting piece. Thank you for sharing.
