Tony's not the brightest tiger in the jungle, is he? Now everyone is going to see him and know who he is. How does he think he can possibly get away?

Oh no! Poor Olivia! Everyone is so close and yet they have no idea that the bad guy is causing all this havoc. Good that it seems that Analiese will notify the police about Tony. Great job with this dramatic post!

What a way to meet the missing person of so long ago, Sally. The sheriff's wife is unable to see and I don't see a way out for her. Maybe that "humongous German Shepherd" Samson belonging to Lieutenant Jean-Baptiste will come to the rescue and save the day. Good story, I guess I'll wait for the next one.

I'm glad Analiese is ready to turn against Tony Alfanzi in this chapter, and not be party to his murderous scheme. She couldn't make the leap from theft to murder; her heart wasn't ice cold, as Tony's apparently was.

I was somewhat confused as to how Tony drifted so easily from the Motor Court Motel to the apparent residence of Olivia and Lyle Henry -- is it me, or did that just seem too easy? It seemed unplanned, and yet suddenly Olivia was in his grasp -- with Sheriff Henry on hand to discover it.

It was intriguing, but seemed unexplained.

I didn't find any grammatical errors or typos.

Thank you for the super rating and generous stars once again. I'm very blessed. What I've depicted here is a crime of opportunity where the perp sees that they have the chance to commit the act and seizes it. These happen daily in big and little America.

I don't think it's far-fetched at all. Everything is in close proximity in River Ridge: The Motor Court Motel; Al's Barbeque and Such; the Sheriff's office; and the former hostel, the Victorian house where Olivia and Lyle still live. Hopefully everything will tie together for you. Sending you my best today as always,

You're very welcome, Sally, my dear friend. Yes, you're right about crimes of opportunity, and Tony Alfanzi would certainly be on the lookout for opportunities. I didn't realize how the layout of River Ridge would affect the story -- and I'm wondering if it's actually a real place? Not that it would matter. You do know a lot about Southern living!

The name is real but I have no clue to how it looks. I've modeled it from my imagination. The food is very real though.... Blessings for your day. Love, Sal XOs...

his is my introduction to this series. I am already intrigued enough to be desirous of reading more. Which I intend to do. I am usually grabbed right away or quickly turned off. You had me right away and the I could not stop reading. In the words of the Terminator: I'll be back.

Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level

In this fine new chapter, Analiese apparently has decided that her best course is to inform the FBI of what she knows, to avoid implication in both past crimes and more to come, and possibly to avert the latter.

Meanwhile, in River Ridge, Tony Alfanzi manages to disguise himself with clothes found in the Employees Only area, steals a Smith & Wesson .38 pistol similar to the one he had left in the oil rig, and clocks out with an employee's time card in attempt to shift blame off himself. On the street, the creep even swipes a backpack from a homeless man.

After spotting a house where he might hide while watching for opportunity, he captures unsuspecting Olivia when noise outside prompts her to open the gate. Her warning that her husband is the Sheriff actually amuses him, as he realizes that having her gives him greater leverage.

This unexpected merging of the story's plot lines certainly puts readers on high alert, eager to see how all this plays out.

Superb, and aptly illustrated (with a touch of humor).

Hello Sal.

Either Tony is the luckiest man alive or he is totally opportunistic and everything he does is to promote and facilitate his next crime.

The sheriff has been placed in a very difficult position. Having to enforce the law is always a main priority but having to make split second decisions when family is involved must be extremely difficult.

My friend, Sally:

Somehow I had forgotten that the sheriff's wife was also blind. I really like how you continue to incorporate essential characters who let nothing stop them from leading a full life. I think the next chapter just might get a bit dicey.

What's going to happen now? It seems like the Sherrif's wife is the decoy for the Sherrif, and now the whole story is hotting up, perps all over the place, the police dept. will have its time cut out now! Beautifully written Sally, an excellent post, blessings Roy
