I like your sad but humorous last line. Because we know the answer is No, there is no other planet and we really need to take care of this one. Great poem. (By the way why did you use a slash to divide the first lines of each couplet?)
Congratulations on the win!!

I think there was a limit on the number of lines. Thanks for the review.

Congratulations on winning first place in this contest. Your poem certainly covers a lot of things that are happening in our world today. God created a beautiful world for us to live in, but many people don't seem to care how they treat it.

Ciao mystery poet , I gave you your 8th vote!

There was some tough competition but in the end I chose your poem for content and flow.

You did a great job listing all the misdoings of Man .. we exploit and destroy fauna and flora.

We do not take care of our planet/ our home.

Mother Nature would flourish if Man would just go extinct.

Keep safe!

Your poem is wonderful. Nature is a very important part of life. The things that you mention are so true. If only we could clean up our act and keep our land clean.

This poem follows the contest requirements. The rhythm and rhyming are superb. The words are emotive and descriptive. I find myself bristling with indignation for the outrageous abuse of what started out to be a perfect Garden. To escalate the rating of this piece I would love to see an accompanying image and colour scheme that enhances the theme. Think in terms of a well designed book cover to attract attention to this well written story.
(Revelation 11:18 guarantees that earth's ruination will soon be healed) Best wishes for the contest

Excellent poem, so descriptive of the destruction humans perpetrate against our poor planet. Excellent personification. The pacing is great. The end question is superb because it is rhetorical in nature. Well done.

This is an excellent poem with too much truth. You've really covered all the bases on our lack of proper care and added humor that's more sad than laughable. I am so glad I understand it and hope it wins the contest.

Must agree with this write. My feelings as well. Each stanza is right on. God creates, man destroys. Ignorance prevails while wisdom sits and cries. Thanks for sharing.

It's sad to see how we as a population have misused and plundered the wonderful gifts of Nature and most assume they will last forever..but how long can they endure? Beautiful poem .... and cute ending!

Smiles, Carol

Hello Friend,
Nice piece of poetry meeting the desired norms, having impressive phraseology, smooth flow throughout from the beginning to the end with lovely rhyming scheme, and beautifully depicting its theme.
6th couplet is particularly noteworthy.
GOOD LUCK in the contest.
