Your gentile use of allusion will draw the reader in. This does have the Emily Dickinson style clearly etched in it and woven through it. Your use of personification makes it even more dear. I also, will send healing on all levels.

Pam,
This is such a beautiful poem, written in Dickinson-style.
Emily usually write in a simple style with a complex message.
You photo is sweet and words and tribute to Karenina are exceptional.
Good luck in the contest, Pam!
And thank you for adding me.

Thanks for the review, Portia. I appreciate your comments about the poem and writing in Emily Dickinson's poem. She did enjoy it very much; she even had her daughter post her reply. She is doing the typing as Karenina dictates.

Pam, this is just so lovely, and in perfect Emily Dickinson't form. I know Karenina will read this, because I believe her daughter has been helping her with the reviews. She is such a strong lady, and will be writing with her own hands soon enough.
I thought the little birds in your picture was a perfect choice. How could anyone not fail to smile? Your words are soft, full of hope and love, and I just know she's going to love it. Well done, my friend!! :)) Sandra xxxx

Thanks for the review, Sandra. I appreciate your comments about the poem and form. Karenina surprised me by responding to it pretty quickly. I think she has a lot of determination. The little birds were part of my inspiration. I saw them and said that's it, combined with my favorite Emily Dickinson poem, "Hope is the thing with feathers."
-
I've been told her daughter is reading the poems to her and then Karenina dictates to her what to reply. She is a strong lady and will come through this. I'm looking forward to the new story tomorrow!! xxxx
-
That is true. Her daughter is helping her. She is a strong person, and will do well. I will be looking forward to your story, too. The books arrived yesterday. Very, very nice!!! You should be very proud of it.
-
Oh, great! I'm so pleased you have them, and yes, I'm really pleased at the way the bookd have turned out. I'm glad you think so, too. :)) xxx
-
You are welcome. I even started coloring a picture since I am saving one book for me:) I always loved coloring as a kid.
-
Good for you! I like colouring in pictures, too. I have bought those 'painting by numbers' books, they're good, too.
-
Back in the day, my mom and I would do those paint by number kits. I know that coloring is a big thing. Robert gave me a set of pencils and book to go with them. I haven't started it yet; those patterns are complicated! There aren't any numbers, either!
