Absolutely thrilling dream sequence/ramble/daring adventure (which we all are better served while safely entrenched in our respective recliners!)
Always you have this unique perspective and fine honed wit that make your words zing from the page to my funny bone... No "Mulligan" here, my friend! Totally entertaining and well hey, you fulfilled your requirement to get one more post in... Just remember, to your friends and fans you are ALWAYS recognized!

It's always nice to be recognized by those who know me without my mask. Those who would slather me with positives to blur or blend in the nits. I'm hoping things are moving along nicely for you in the right direction. I appreciate the kind words and generous review. Especially, at a time when real life has created more obstacles than a bird in a fan. Keep your chin up and out of the soup. A great big hug, and a peck on the forehead! :-)

You did a great job with this dream sequence. I enjoyed reading it. I like the way you mentioned golfing, but came to prefer writing. You take readers on a fanciful trip. It would have been great to be able to write about the end of the dream.
Respectfully, Jan

Thank you so much, Jan, for your kind words and generous review. Yes, I probably cut this one a little short in most people's minds, but I'm sure there are those who like a shorter post now and then. LOL. I appreciate YOU!

Those La-z-boys are dangerous! You don't fall completely asleep, just enough to make that dream zone on steroids. What a wonderfully written ramble. Best of luck with your writing!

Have a great day, and God bless.

Thank you so much, Mike, for the extra-special six-star review. But most of all, it's your kind and encouraging comments from such a talented writer that I appreciate most. God bless you!

Amusing. Reflective. Seems the older we get the more appealing the Lazy Boy Boogie becomes. Believe I joined that brigade a long while back. Kind of backing away from FanStory some. Have accepted another writing opportunity, so we shall see how that goes.

Thank you so much, Brett Matthew, for the extra-special six-star review. And most of all, for all the kindness and encouragement you always offer. I was starting to get a little worried since I hadn't seen you around for while, gotten any reviews of late, or received notification for any of your posts. I'm glad you liked it, and happy to see you around. Don't back away for Fanstory too much, I always enjoy your writing and the fellowship. I appreciate YOU!

This is a nice piece actually, reflective and touching. I like the way it flitters a bit around the place, like a dream. Thanks for sharing this and have yourself a really great day

Thank you so much, Oliver818, for your kind and generous review. And most of all for getting it, which can sometimes be hard to do, the way my mind flitters around like a butterfly on crack. I appreciate your encouragement and wish you a wonderful week!

True confessions . . . or maybe not. I, too, am sorry Harry walked in. I too wanted to see you save the day and the damsel from the giant swells and the kraken! I'm sure she might even have been a mermaid who would surrender her tail to follow you anywhere. I hope this helps give you a boost because I don't know if you have one of those electrified A-Z-Boys that will get you on your feet. (Glad you no longer cheat yourself at golf.)

Thank you so much, Susan, for your kind words and generous review. I got more laughs from your "mermaid who would surrender her tail to follow you anywhere," than from my whole story. LOL. Thanks again, for the encouragement. I appreciate YOU!

SSSSSStupendous! A wry and witty tour de force of self-deprecation. On behalf of your sure-to-be-delighted readers, I say your $$$$$$ was well $$$$$$pent. Ingeniously whimsical flight of fancy. CheerSSSSSS. LIZ

No eminent=>IMMINENT chores, [SUGG OMIT I could recall.

My eyelids [COMMA] like lead weights [COMMA] clamped shut, [SUGG OMIT clam tight,] and the adventure began.

What does this line mean?: Face and hair stretched back tighter than a dry (?) birth (?) squinting my eyes like an unmasked ninja.

Thank you so much, Liz, for the extra-special six-star review. But most of all, for your comments and suggestions that gently nudge me back between the lines when I scribble out of control. And your continued support, encouragement, and the honor of being on the reading list of such a talented wordsmith and writer who I've tried to imitate with my last two posts of daily activities. Imitation said to be the greatest form of flattery, I sure hope you can take it that way. LOL. I appreciate YOU, and your posts.

Yes, a rather fruitless ramble and I apologize for your wasted time. (Never is reading anything you've written wasted time. I enjoy reading your posts. I like your style.)

A comment on the last review of mine you wrote, my writing is classified as 'realistic fiction'. It actually has a term. Go Figure.

Thank you so much, Barbara, for your kind words and generous review. This post started as just a way to complete the needed post to have a rating (Not that it matters). And in truth, I almost decided not to post it. LOL. I'm always honored when the teachers of our world and talented writers such as yourself take the time to read my scribblings. I'm just killing time and entertaining myself with foolishness most of the time. Hoping to put a smile on someone's face that otherwise wouldn't be there. "Realistic Fiction," now I know, and your stories always fit that description perfectly. I enjoy them all!

I loved your ramble. You have such a talent for unusual wording. Once again, I found myself smiling as I read. Keep posting and I will be glad to keep reading and reviewing.

Thank you so much, Roof35, for you wonderful review and extra-special six-star review. Your kind words are all the more special to me since you can always make me laugh along with your cute and entertaining stories. As corny as this might sound, nothing makes me happier than knowing I can make someone smile. Especially, those who make me smile. You've made my week. I appreciate YOU!

This is very amusing and it fulfills a need. Good job. You do have a way with words (and with dreams?). Mine are mostly nightmares. Have only one suggestion: in ". . . arms almost out of socket(s) . . ." as all the rest was plurals.

Thank you so much, Carol, for your kind and generous review. I'm glad you enjoyed my foolishness. Sadly, we all have those nightmares, we just have to hope there is a smile or two to brighten a few of those dreary days. Thanks for pointing out my blunder, as I make plenty. I write really fast and hate editing and polishing, so many times my posts are sprinkled with bloopers that resemble bird poop. LOL. I appreciate your kind and encouraging review!

If you don't proofread, you do a great job first time through.
reply by the author on 26-Jul-2021
I don't proofread often. And on the few times that I do, I've learned to read right through my mistakes, never seeing them. The same mistakes I'll catch every time if someone else writes it. But not with my own. LOL. Thank, Carol, and have a wonderful week!
