Wow, Karenina has gone through a lot with both herself and her husband. It is good her daughter helped keep her up on her writing and reviewing.
I hope this is it for her and her family and all is good from now on. Her reviews are always thorough and helpful.
This is a well written review of her recent problems with the medical field.
Keep writing and stay healthy
Congrats on being the reviewer of the month.
Happy Holidays.
Joan

Blast from the past! This was posted 4 months ago--how did you happen upon it--only 2 cents for you! Thanks for stopping by.

    Thanks!

After having read a graphic chapter, I figured it was open season. I'd held off, not knowing what she'd revealed. She'd told me the details early on and hadn't wanted them known at that time--then she posted a tantalizing announcement, from which readers drew sundry inaccurate inferences.

Since then, things has gotten even worse for her--mercifully, she had surgery three weeks ago that restored her hands.

I just go through your portfolio and find something I haven't reviewed yet. I find many really good poems from mmy autheors this way. I have never cared how mnay cents a poem gives.
I am glad she is better and able to write.

Well, thanks for that! I do the same. Did you realize you'd topped me off to #26? Some in my fan club seek out pieces that have 14 or 25 reviews to boost them to ribbon status!

I'm glad you gave some particulars about Karenina's accident. I hadn't read about the details before. It sounds pretty serious, and it looks like she's in for a long recovery time, but if she's already taken the initiative of continuing her reviewing by having her daughter type them, she is already making progress. I like your new picture. judi

Elizabeth, what I just read is hair rising. I've known Karen for 15 years, and I witnessed her ups and downs, her courage in fighting ailments and her overwhelming optimism.

But this accident is horrible. I had no idea of it and the circumstances that followed, until I read one of the posts for the book. By the way, I just added a chapter to the book today ("Your courage will prevail.")

I hope that her courage and fortitude, combined with all our prayers, will help her pull through this. She has a tough road ahead of her. But I know Karen and know she won't give up until she conquers the beast!

OMG! I didn't know. She's such a wonderful lady. What happened to the uninsured driver? I hope she's suing him if she can. Will she be stuck will the hospital bill? I don't know how it works in the US. Thanks for letting us all know, Liz. :( Sandra xx

Nicely done in your flamboyant style!

She'd messaged me many times too, but sworn to secrecy, I hoped she'd been able to tell others too. she's been hit hard in so many ways of late and her feisty spirit won't let her down. Great job, Liz.

Smiles and hugs, Carol

So glad I read this. I remember the story about the ophthalmologist assistant but didn't know the extent of her other misfortunes. I've been mulling over my own contribution to the Book of K for a few days now.

I LOVE this! It shows your appreciation for her. You know what? All of my life I've never FELT to be part of any group. Yep, the outsider, the weirdo, etc. all I can say is I'm so freaking happy to have met you and Karenina. Thank you for being an inspiration! We both know she's got this! She's gonna carry on her witchy ways so we can meet in Salem! :)

Yes indeed, she's a woman of immense faith and wisdom, (besides that she likes my poetry) she has a great daughter in Jess, and this means she's an ace mum as well. Thank you for writing this, I know what it's like to have hope, it makes life easier, not in the physical sense, but in the heart transplant sense. Well done Liz, hear! Hear! Well done, blessings Roy

OH my good gravy Marie! If only I were the patient, long suffering yet faithful saint you paint me to be! This was a true shocker, dear Liz...and I (of course) am totally unworthy of such attention. So many here have gone through so much worse and have triumphantly kept their writing and reviews going! I am twice blessed. My dear daughter, Jessica, who is acting as my hands while I work (oh so impatiently) with OT and PT until this nerve "damage" or "swelling" lessens and I can once again type (horribly) on my own. (snicker.)--- Blessed again to have not only survived what a could have been a life ending experience and to yet again come to FanStory where my friends (oh YOU!) are so dear and so supportive...and where I get untold hours of happiness reading and reviewing (okay, and on occasion I do actually post something!)--

While it's true the past six months have not been ones I would like to repeat, either for Ed's sake or my own...it is also true that each of us has our life-challenges. I guess I was "on deck" and (I am SO stubborn!)--I elected not to "whiff" and strike out...but to swing for the fences. SO--with Jess (angel/daughter/friend/caretaker/typist)-- I whine and whimper until she patiently crams another few moments into her already packed day attending to my needs and shuffling me to doctors and therapy--and I am thrilled when I get a moment or three or five to come on site and commune with you, and so many other fine writers and friends!

I am forever grateful to have you here. All of you.

OH man. I hate crying! These are happy tears though. Love you!

Karenina

Thankssssss! I am relieved you weren't upset by my setting the record straight. After having read a graphic chapter with the claws, such imagery as Kate said you'd shared, I figured it was open season. I'd held off, not knowing what you'd revealed. When you posted the tantalizing announcement, readers drew sundry inaccurate inferences.

Ah, Red, this is charming and lovely - thank you for the tribute and for informing we who did not know, of her trials and tribulations. How awful to suffer so...and such a dear woman. I must get to writing my love poem to her - you are sweet to suggest it.

Nice to see you again--did you see my new pic?--my red has faded (by my intent) to pink!
