What a sweet and personal poem you have written, Diane. I am sorry for your loss, and the loss to Bob's other friends, and the terrible loss to his family. You have written of kindness, friendship and encouragement. May we all cultivate these virtues. I'm glad he taught you valuable lessons that will benefit you, moving forward. That's a lasting legacy. Beautiful tribute! To who I still don't know. It's nice to be inspired and by someone you admire is honourable. I know no one of the sort, save my Dad and Jesus. I like the flow, heartfelt and concise. Easy to read, and overall a great piece!

Hi Diane, the last thing I had heard about Bob...was he was going to have surgery to have two toes removed because of his diabetes...I was shocked when I read Robyn's story told...
he was friends to many on here...and he will be soooo very missed my sweet friend...but I truly believe there will be a day we will have a FanStory reunion in heaven...and we will all meet...we the time comes I would love to meet you...
my heart goes out to Bob's family and friends...I know he is now resting in peace...he is now safe at home...

Beautifully presented. Heartfelt and so true, as any one of us who so enjoyed reading his work or his reviews...or the occasional private message can attest! I was so sorry to hear of his passing. He was a stand-up guy with a heart of gold. His novels were uniquely his own voice...always intriguing and a delight to read. I pray for his wife and family and friends. He will not be forgotten here. He has many FanStory friends who will always keep his memory alive!

Hi Diane,
What a most lovely tribute to Mastery! Yes, he will definitely be missed on FanStory and this old world. I'm so glad he had a full military funeral to honor him, as a Marine he fully deserved this to send him off in proper ceremony. I met him on FanStory back in 2006. He always had a kind word and the best advice. A truly remarkable human being :-)
