A most beautiful and richly meaningful prayer, which I enjoyed very much. I see it won first place in the contest, and that is not at all surprising. Even though there are few words, each word carries deep meaning and the feel of the poem as a whole, is one of sincerity and reverence. This was excellent. MM

Congrats on winning the contest. Your two line poem is definitely a prayer with meaning. "Absolve, sanctify, purify are strong words that add a steady beat to your prayer. I also admire your use of rhyming words.

I had to look up patri but then realized I knew what it was. Lol

The Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. We all pray that our souls are purified in the Father, the Son, and the holy spirit. "He came to Earth, to show the way. From the Earth to the Cross, our debt to pay, From the cross to the sky. Lord, we lift your name on high. Words from one of my favorite praise songs. Congratulations on your first prize win.

I can see why this poem is a contest winner. It should be. It tells a lot with only using a few words. They rhyming is excellent. Thank you for sharing this poem with us. It speaks volumes.
