I enjoyed reading your contest entry. I did see tongue-in-cheek humor in it. I once, and it wasn't my fault, got a nasty graham from the IRS. I was teaching for DODDS. Because of some stupid reason my teaching summer school wasn't included on my W2 as reported income. I didn't know that, but the IRS did. Hmmm, it was corrected. Good luck with the with contest. You should show well, this is cute.

My daughter and her husband work for me state of California. She works very hard, her husband not so much...he just doesn't like his job.
I heard it's hard to fire a government employ so there are many slackers...not you. It sounds like you did your job well. I like the good humor and nice presentation.

I got refunded more than I owed so you and I are cool. lol This was a great poem about a job you actually performed. It rhymed well, had a nice rhythm, and was funny. Great job and nice contest entry.

It's very difficult to find humor when dealing with the IRS, but the poet has made a good effort. The meter could be cleaned up to make the read smoother.
