One of the things that makes your stories so successful is the attention given to details--like with the forensic evidence that was gathered. It rings true to the reader and is much appreciated! Smiles, Janet

Hi Sally,
Sorry for being so late with this review, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. A lot of loose ends were tied in. There was so much action going on in the 4 sections that I almost forgot a couple of things... one, that Tony the Tiger is still on the loose... Sally is in danger. And two, that Olivia/Camille is waiting to be discovered.
At the moment, Tony isn't aware how close he is to being nabbed by the authorities. He should be disappearing from the area, but he's more concerned about getting some money to buy some clothes.
In the first section, I love these lines (and appreciated the rhyme of "money/honey")...
"Oops, gotta run. Hurry with the money, honey!"

Stabbing the salad violently with her fork, she wished it was Tony Alfanzi. "I can't believe I was once married to him!" Blind with fury, Analiese threw the salad against the wall, then picked up her cell phone.

Analiese is quite upset, and someone has a cleaning job to do in her office.

In the next section, I enjoyed the comical interlude with the naked honeymooners, "Let's go skinny dipping." But actually, the naked swim might have saved them from Tony's .38 !
I wondered if fingerprints would keep underwater, but I'm sure you've investigated that.

Evidence is mounting against Tony,
"Anything else noticeable?" I asked. "Scars, birthmarks, piercings, or tattoos?"
"Yes, the name Ana was tattooed on his left wrist."
Of course, the "Ana" tattoo refers to Analiese Irving, and we know that they were once married.

I wondered why they started the transport truck. What purpose was there in doing that?
"It was quite thrilling to be in the driver's seat of a rig. My gloved hands started the engine and a burst of cold air ensued."

Looking forward to the next chapter, Sal'! Tony is in for a big surprise. And so is Camille.
Marvelous writing, my dear! Keep up the good work!
Hugs,
Kimbob

Thank you for the wonderful review and just in time, dear pilgrim. I was watching for you! I'm so honored by this. I'm delighted you enjoyed this and the comic relief. It's really needed in crime mystery, I think. The temperature down here is mind boggling, thus the air to investigate the cab. Sending you my very best and blessings always, dear Kim,

Air-conditioning in the sweltering cab... I didn't think of that, Sally. Now it makes some sense. Even up here in southern New Brunswick lately, we've had some very hot & humid days. But funny thing, last night the temperature went way down. And this morning, it felt like mid-September at only 12 degrees Celsius. What a nice relief. We're lucky in Saint John though, next door to the Bay of Fundy. We get more relief along the coast than Fredericton or Woodstock.
After I reviewed your chapter, my wife & I went out to breakfast at AJ's Restaurant... French Toast with maple syrup, and sausages with raspberry jam. Then we went down to Kent's (hardware store) for some bags of black earth. (Judy and our 89 year old neighbor Mary Orr like to keep me busy planting shrubs and flowers.) When I went to grab a bag off the outdoors pallet, I felt an almighty sting. I looked at the end of my 3rd finger/right hand and spied what I thought was a tiny blade of glass. But it turned out to be a stinger from a paper wasp that lay quite dead. You talk about pain! I haven't felt pain like that in over 55 years, the last time I got stung. Ice took the pain away, thankfully. A formidable enemy!

I?ve been near you. Nova Scotia is on the Bay of Fundy. I don?t remember heat although we were there in August. The water was frigid. It?s nearing 100 regularly here, then it rains. :)

I don't know how you stand it. I'm glad our summers are only 3 months long.

You know, Sal:

It is really amazing that more truck drivers aren't found dead along the highways with their propensity to pick up hitchhikers. Maybe it's because: 1) most hitchhikers can't drive 18-wheelers; and/or 2) most folks know truck drivers are packed and know how to use it.

I nearly missed this! My Birthday yesterday and all week has been manic (in a lovely way) by friends and long distance relatives driving down to see me.) If I hadn't seen your latest post pop up in my messages I'd not have gone looking for this one! Brain dead!

I really enjoyed this part, (owe you a six) the clues were spot on in the truck, and it looks like our missing man has some new clothes! Those poor honeymooners! But what a tale to tell the grandchildren!! Lol.

At least coming in late, it's not so long to wait for the next part. Well done, my friend. Another wonderful part to this riviting mystery! :)) Sandra xx

Ha, that's a great line, rob a clothesline or go shopping. You've made great use of your setting again, and this plays out at a pace that I can picture it all.

Superb job of this, Sally. The Blind Girl seems to know her stuff, and a police/guide dog makes it that much more interesting.

A most enjoyable read today. :))

People come so close to a killer in weird ordeals and are still alive. Harrowing to imagine. Looks like the evidence is mounting and leading the good guys to the bad guys. Love the chase.

I think Tony the Tiger is almost done for. The next chapter should be a good one. I don't see him going down without a fight. But I imagine him choking on his frosted flakes. He can't win.

Sounds like the story is getting deeper and deeper into a nasty crime scene. Was the newly married couple involved or not? Kind of thought they might be, as they were found near the crime scene. We'll find out in the next chapter I'm sure.

More information, Sally, and I love it as the pieces come together. :) The make of the fugitive with the tattoo will be the big give-a-way in also capturing Analiese. I don't recall the painting being stolen. I guess I have to backtrack your story. Thank you for sharing.

This is another fine chapter, Sal, as it answers readers' questions about the connection between Analiese and Tony Alfanzi as well as provides a lot of useful evidence about the murders of the two men found in sunken car. Clearly, your knowledge of CSI procedures lends credence to this part of the story.

I Section One, we learn that Analiese and Tony were once married, and he still calls her when he wants something. We also learn that Andre's oil painting was stolen almost immediately after the buyer from the auction locked it in his safe, thus triggering an FBI investigation.

Section Two, about the crime scene investigation of the car is entirely plausible in both actions and related dialog, lending credence to the account. The unexpected appearance of the young couple adds more evidence to the record. They were probably saved by not seeing Tony stealing their clothes.

In Section Three, Dwayne Cooper is apologetic about the boots, but they washed clean easily with just water. His willing answers to all questions provided a lot more evidence, including his tattoo, which will help to identify him when found.

In Section Four, fingerprint evidence in Dwayne's truck also will help, as will finding the likely murder weapon under the passenger seat. Calling for a SWAT Team from New Orleans is a wise choice.

Thus, you build the suspense even higher. Superb, and aptly illustrated.
