Great story thus far. You've given us much to process and reflect on in this segment. Now I get to meet the detectives of a previous story. Looking forward to the next chapter. Blessings. Carol

    Good morning, Carol

Yes, Hank and Garth will help us put the pieces together as we work out way through the lives and secrets entwined. Glad you enjoyed it!

Great writing here, dear Carol. I'm coming in late, however, I was able to see the plot and put together some of the characters. I've been real sick and reading my own stuff has been difficult. The meds my doctor prescribed continue for another week. Brain fog is a side effect. I'm sure I'll do better in the future.

Sending you my best today as always,
Sal XOs...

Dear Sally.... I hope you are feeling better. It's terrible when the meds (which are meant to help) tend to make matters worse.

I thank you for taking the to read this chapter... If you feel better and have the chance... the first two chapters have very important back information and there is still $$$$ on them. Only if you feel like it!

Take care and smiles to you! Carol

An agonizing moan escaped her lips as she screamed, "Jack, I need you." She leaned back in the oversized leather chair and shook her fists in the air. Through gritted teeth, she cried, "God, are you listening? I can't do this alone."

I am waiting for the miracle, will love to read the next one.

Good morning... How nice of you to stop by and read the story.... I am a writer who loves to add twists and turns (one right after another) and keep the reader guessing... There will need to be several miracles in this story. Hope you are staying for the ride....

Yes, Hank Armato is on his way... and I believe Garth has been spotted in town but not by any of us. LOL There is a lot going on... Smiles, Carol

PS... If Garth looks anything like my mind imagines him, I believe butterflies are doing flipflops in my stomach as well. LOL

That manager had something to do with it, I'm betting my last donut on it!
Now she will have Hank, I'm glad he's back in this story, perhaps the others as well? Now we still don't know what is the connection with Faith Cranston and her daughter, Annie. Are they his? I don't believe so, but who are they? You've already started us on the guessing game, and I know what you're like, it's going to get worse before we know anything!! The ending was so sad. It brought back memories. Great chapter, my friend. Can't wait for the next one. :)) Hugs and love. Sandra xxx

Take care my dear friend... Love ya.... Smiles and hugs, Carol

Sounds like Elizabeth is in a scary situation that could get worse before it gets better. Lizzie get your gun, and hope that the bullet meant for you doesn't come from the back or in your sleep. Thanks for sharing.

Now it's making sense, she's been in touch with a man called Hank Armani, who was recommended to her, because Jack believed her life to be in danger, because of the estate, poor girl, you know the devastation of your love and your best friend, permanently. Your writing betrays your feelings, that is good, you understand the secret of writing a good story, well done, Carol, well done, blessings Roy

Very well written and engaging chapter. You left me wanting to continue reading and to follow the outcome of the mystery. You gave us a possible villain in Miguel and have confirmed that her life is in danger through Jack's letter. well done

Well, good morning to you and thank you for stopping by... this is chapter 3 and if you think you will continue to follow, you might want to read one and two...Some important information was placed in those chapters for later on.... In my stories, you will see that I tempt the reader with lots of villains, but never quite tell you how it comes together...I love twists and turns and emotional spills.

    Smiles to you, Carol

This work has reached the exceptional level

This is an excellent chapter that starts to bring everything into focus. Now we have a idea that the vineyard itself is the source of the danger and that Jack knew his life was in danger and the Elizabeth is as well. We will soon have Hank involved, and we are left to wonder how the people living on the property fits into this puzzle.

    Good morning, Beth...

Thanks for the awesome start to my day... I am flattered that you found the story worthy of your stars. I am always worried about the stories I write, but more so in the beginning, as I wonder if people will find interest and be drawn into it. You made me very happy!

    Thank you as always, Carol

No sixes left, but this would rate one. Compelling throughout. I love the way you defined Miguel through his eyes and through Elizabeth's gut. Well done, and I'm ready for more.

A couple things:

rows of vines ladened with luscious ==> laden (ladened is "not in current usage" -- I looked it up.)

discovered that lead to his death. ==> led (very common error in print)

    Good morning, my friend....

I saw your name pop up and thought...okay, get ready to work... but I was pleasantly surprised that I actually didn't do too bad...LOL I am thrilled that you feel it is worth the six and I will happily accept the virtual one... The more I think about this story... I believe it will be quite an emotional story instead of just murders... My brain is still spinning.

    Thanks again as always, Carol

I could see some interesting things happening with Elizabeth's "sixth sense" and Alyssa's tenacious "hound-dog-on-a-scent" nature.
