Your tanka is in great form. I enjoyed reading it. The lines read well, they are smooth, and are filled with great imagery. I could see this as I read. Your words about longing for Mother's voice give a great sense of time and place. Your pivot line works well.

Missing your mother's tomatoes fills the jars of who you are. She helped to create you and you became your own person, one who is beautifully capable of writing poems about your self and your mother. Loved it.
