Very funny story Tempeste!
The same can apply to many children who have licked the icing on the cake on the sly. Their mouths tell/nail the truth. Of course, the Afghan cannot talk! ROF (rolling on floor - pronounced as "ruff")

Ciao Marco!
He was a devil .. all his life he had stewing steak, chicken , chops , shanks .. never fed him can or dry food in his life .. he wasn?t hungry .. he buried them .. he was just being naughty.
So do you see why I called him a yak?
Comment from Liz O'Neill
I remember I learned quickly to keep meat inaccessible to my dog. I had left a steak on the counter. I came back into the room to find it missing. Looking around, she had it on the floor not quite sure how to attack it. I bet you got other similar tales.

Ciao!
Thanks for reviewing ..
The fact he stole the chops was not the funny part.
the humour was in the fact that my dog thought he could get away with the theft ..
just like a child that knows it s done something naughty but when confronted denies because in its limited mind : if no one saw me do it , I can get away with it .
Same with my dog
he didn t realise that his dirty nose tipped us off that he was the culprit .. he had buried the stolen goods.
When my mother confronted him he was acting all innocent.. ( biggrin)
PS :he did not steal the chops because he was hungry ..he had meat on a daily basis( cooked stewing steak, chicken , pork chops ) diced with a small part of pasta or rice .. he stole the chops because he was mischievous ,especially when he was young.
Keep safe!

Glad you enjoyed the humour ..
like children , he knew he had done wrong but was sure to get away with it .. of course he had no way to understand his dirty nose gave him away( biggrin)

Are the notes a continuation of the 50 word story? They do add context and answer questions. I'm not sure how that will be received. So the dog ate all four of the T-bones. Well, I wouldn't blame him. Why put meat down where a dog could get it. he only did the natural thing.
interesting entry.

I will delete the notes .. but the notes had nothing to do with the humour which you clearly missed reading my 50word narrative.
Abdul , my dog was pretending ( nonchalant) he had nothing to do with the chops disappearing ..what he of course did not realise was his dirty nose gave him away. That?s the humour

What a clever dog - in his own eyes! This makes for a humorous story, but not at the time! Your story is engaging, and should do well. Best wishes for your entry!
