Amanda is worried about becoming an alcoholic. I wonder about that myself now and again. But I forget to have one too often to seriously consider it. Nice bit of intimacy how the characters are getting friendly over a drink.
"Doesn't matter. Yours was the only number I called and you didn't disappoint. You think they'll forget what you did for them? Hands across the sea, and all that. The longest march starts with a single step. Hug a tree. Things go better with Coke." Bob downed the last of his whiskey. "Eat your heart out, Churchill." Lol! He got 'em all, uh? Lol! He's such a cute character. Reminds me of someone. Good job, Bob. Still really enjoying it.

Thanks. It's a concern of mine as well, which is why twice a year I go dry for a month. So far it's not been any effort at all.
Thanks for the review. Glad you're still enjoying it.

I worked as a bartender, so I have to say reading was just as fun as working there (super fun!). It is refreshing to read a story where is not just "stuff going on", but seems like you - author - knows what he's talking about and knows his characters same as himself. Oh, so many lock-ins I have done and most of the fun part was my "work" after hours. I related to this conversation, had plenty of similar - of who's alcoholic and who's not. You capture the atmosphere perfectly. I see your characters enjoying their night and I am enjoying my night sitting there together with them. It's a skill to write the way it feels real, so you deserve my last six this week. Hats off to you, sir!

You're very kind, thank you. Yes, guilty. Though I never worked in a pub my grandparents, parents, aunts and uncles were in the trade. It always seemed too much like hard work for long hours for me to follow in their footstepes. I'm glad you liked it and I'll take a virtual six from you.

Wickedly witty--a tour de force of snark--so glad I grabbed this--I normally skip anything classified as fantasy fiction--this episode title intrigued me. Hilarious exchange. Priceless--Put that tongue away--not in your mouth!
