I have heard that it is not uncommon for someone with an impaired physical state like blindness to develop extra sensory sensitivities. I was reminded of this when reading your excellent closing sentence....a good cliff hanger ending, Sally! xo

Hi Sally,
I'm so glad I have one six left. You did a great job putting this chapter together. But wouldn't you know it? ... the trucker's favorite BBQ pit is Al's in River Ridge... and Sally is right there! How to disguise a blind girl being led to a cafe? The truck is illegally parked out front of Al's... and where is the tiger? Sally feels she's being watched. Trouble ahead!!! Wouldn't you know it?
You leave us in suspense... what a dirty trick!
Well done! Keep up the good work, mon cher!
Where is that Jackson???
Hugs,
Kimbob

So much excitement in this story....hoping they will remain safe but with the hiding of a monster and perhaps a killer, it would be a little frightening to even walk near an eating place.

From this chapter we know major events are imminent.

In Section One, a news broadcast fills in details of what was found when the sunken car owned by Lonnie Hastings was retrieved. Jackson mentions that Detective Lembowski is on the scene working with Dr. Maclavish. Also, we learn that the man who escaped had not been located, which is worrisome. The comfort that Jackson then provides is both endearing and a reminder that the participants in this story are more than just characters in a book.

In Section Two, Suzy learns that you know everyone's favorite flower. This is plausible, given your compensating senses. This subtly sets us up for this chapter's end.

In Section Three, we see how Tony Alfanzi got away by hitching a ride with an oil tanker bound for New Orleans. You tell us enough about the driver, Dwayne Cooper, to make us like him and worry about his safety in Alfanzi's presence.

"River Ridge...? Never heard of it." Yeah, right.... Trouble is coming.

In Section Four, in room 26 at the Motor Court Motel (which explains the illustration), Suzy plays a reply to her inquiry to Strong Again Institute in New Orleans about Camille Jean-Baptiste, which reveals that Camille might have been treated for amnesia there in 1999. Then Suzy requests to go along to Olivia's house in order to be a sighted participant.

In Section Five, Lieutenant Miles Jean-Baptiste makes it clear that Jackson had insisted he go wherever Sally goes, so the three of them head out to lunch at Al's Barbecue and Such -- exactly where Dwayne Cooper was taking Alfanzi -- and they even see his parked truck.

Realizing that Al's might be crowded, they consider going to the nearby French cafe instead, Moments later, your and King's senses alarmed; and we must read the next chapter to find out what happens.

Superb, and aptly illustrated.

My life feels crazy right now. Writing is a nice diversion. I was so inspired this morning after reading your reviews, along with so many others, I wrote chapter nine. That?s inspiration. Thank you, again. Sending you my best today as always,

What are the odds he'd find her the way he did? But he has. Things are about to get interesting. It's a good thing she has all these people looking out for her, not to mention King. Tony the Tiger may end up with nothing but a bowl of Frosted Flakes.

Lots of information here that requires I keep a list of my own of who's who to who or why this guy did that. You are keeping it simpler, of course, with your updates and character lists. Great story.

My, My, My, I am so totally impressed. This was such an interesting and easy read because it flowed along with the dialogue. I enjoyed the story and could picture the characters, because you brought them all to life.
God bless you. I don't know how you do it. But you managed all these awards while being blind. What is your secret?
I look forward to the next chapter.
My best,
Marie

Thank you for the wonderful review and generous compliments, dear Marie. Your readership means the world to me. I?m so glad you?re enjoying it. I started writing about a year after I started going blind in 2009. I tell people God took my sight and handed me a pen. I hope to post more of my personal story soon. ;)

I got goose-bumps at the end. It is all reaching a very dramatic climax. Your story is gripping with great insight into characters and plot development - and exactly when to press the pause button! Excellent writing.

I could hear the " this just in" voice. In fact, ironically, I was listening to a flooding report as I was reading your report. Wow. You used you extra senses. To few people take advantage of their extra senses. The reader will be back for sure.
