Awe, this is just lovely, Beth. I love the way you share with us the most trivial things and turn them into a wonderful story. I can just imagine your woes with your dogs. It made me smile. I've always had dogs and cats. At the moment I have a medium size dog and a cat.
I can so sympathise with this tale. Ulla:)))

I find stories about dogs enjoyable and relaxing. I grew up with many dogs, all beagles, used by my father to go hunting. Even though he said they were not pets, my sisters and I always enjoyed playing with them.
I love your story. It sounds as though you never found Cody. You made him sound really interesting.
Note: You may want to take a second look at this passage: "I had to do a serious sales job with Evan, but he he knew he waas..."
Great story. I'm on my way to your profile to find Part 1 of this saga.

Thank you so much for the review and comments. No we didn't lose Cody. I thought I mentioned that he always returned on his own, but on his own schedule. We always chased after him because there was a lot of traffic in the subdivision behind us. There were also leash laws and we didn't want him to get picked up and taken to the
pound. I did correct that sentence. Thanks for seeing that.

It's in Akita's DNA to be difficult dogs. I am enjoying this saga. LOL
When Dada saw his wagging tail, he decided to let Kokomo inside. (Dad??)
, I had to do a serious sales job with Evan, but he he knew he waas fighting a losing battle. (too many 'he' and WAS??)
so I'll let my readers rest for now while I go about (spacing issue after I)

saga of the animals in the Shelby family.
I had a good time reading about your pets (dogs)
I say it's a good idea to fence all your pets.
Smiled at this--when Carol--
didn't look in any direction; she just ran, not caring which way she was headed. It became obvious I would not need to join a gym to get my cardio-vascular workouts. Mitsy would take care of that.

You are so welcome.
I know at one time in my life I had times that were disturbing and happy times with our five Siberian huskies
