Maddie finally gets through to Ms. Esther, that she is deeply hurt by her accusation, and garners an apology. Further, when she asks about the earrings, Ms. Esther reiterates her trust in Maddie. The dialogue between Sedona and Maddie is intriguing and indicative of the fact that Maddie is a witch.

Wow, Laurie, I'm impressed. I remember reading a previous chapter some time ago. I don't think it was the one previous to this. Anyway, if didn't praise you enough then, It's time to do so here. You are an exceptional writer. Your dialogue is nicely balanced with your narrative. The reader doesn't get bogged down in either. There are flaws, minor though some of them are, with all your characters; enough to make them human. You left me wanting to see the result of sedona's meeting with Ms. Esther. Your book has everything. I expect to see it in the "book of the month competition. Great job!

Some people never apologize. Any of those conspiracy theorists who get proven wrong, or certain slanted news stations, do not go back and apologize for the false information they reported on earlier. So I'm not surprised that Ms. Esther was hard to to force to apologize. But I'm glad her sentiment was sincere later.
I didn't know that Sedona spoke!
Great job with this chapter with the dialogue and character development.

Hahaha, thank you for reading and reviewing! Yes, Sedona is Maddie's "familiar", so she's a little bewitched. Thanks again. Your review is appreciated!
