Lovely poem. "Sighs in a flower" shows me that the flower has her ways to attract the bees and is satisfied when the bee has enjoyed her "lips of honeydew." Great use of metaphor!

Hi Jose. I enjoyed reading this lovely verse. The photo of the flower is exquisite. That is a mandevilla... right? Always a lovely summer bloom. Great job on this one.

This really appealed to me, although I'm not entirely sure yet quite why--it is certainly an excellent poem and contest entry, and bespeaks of passion simply and very well in its brevity.

Wow, I really like how you used a flower to describe passion! I think you did it beautifully and tastefully. Nature is full of blooming, explosive, sweet and sometimes a bit sexual energy - passion! Thank you for this reminder ~

It was the sighs in a flower that won me over :) great ending. Short and sweet like lips of honeydew dripping intimate desire.

This 5-7-5, The Flower, has the right set up and brings the rep of the flower up considerably as one understands the desires of those birds and bees.
