Ricky1024:
Was Jose Antonio Ramos ever sent to jail for sexually attacking the other boy, Evan? It is also hard to understand how someone who admits to having abducted a child, then took him to his apartment, and raped him did not go to jail for that since he bragged about it. What a great justice system we have sometimes.

Unfortunately when I Google this and I was reading about it the guy never had gone to jail for that crime but others.
Thanks for sharing mom.

PS: it's always good to know where your child is every second.
Yes, because it only takes a second in a heartbeat.
To be abducted.

I can't even imagine the agony of this type of an experience! I remember when Jacob Wetterling went missing in Minnesota in the 80s and because of him, I parented my children in a way that I did not ever want to keep them out of my sight or let them go around the block on their bikes by themselves. It's disgusting how people can be so predatory. Also keep an eagle eye on my grandchildren when I'm around them. Thanks for sharing.

I remember back in the '80s when a child from another town was run over and killed accidentally.
I later found out more about the story because the young man that had done it was actually waxing the floors in the supermarket where I worked.
That was when I decided to put a blockade fence around my backyard.
I remember so clearly my neighbor did not like it he was Old farm and said I was blocking his view but my children's safety was much more important than his greedy thoughts.
Unfortunately children suffer with the hands of adults everyday who could not even be classified as human.
Thanks for your sharing and thanks for your review.

What a powerfully moving horror story made all the more so by the fact that it is true. I remember this incident well. I remember the fear and anxiety that parents carried with them each day a child left for school. And yet, it keeps happening. It's still happening! Your fact/poem hurts as much now as it did then. It still has the power to horrify. It is a fitting remembrance and tribute to the missing and their grieving parents.

Yes I just had another review about another child in Minnesota who is abducted in the '80s.
She stated it affected everybody so much that they were afraid to let their children go to school allowing on their bicycles.
Thanks for sharing I appreciate that and let's keep our children safe!

There are many tales like this one. Too many. It is not this that makes them unacceptable. No, it is the fact that every single child has the right to expect a happy life, without mistreatmeant. Thus, even one such tale in the world is one too many.

I once lost my daughter Cory in China.
This is an experience while visiting Disney World in the newly opened EPCOT.
Of course it's connected to the world and we stopped at Mexico for a little bite and that's when Corey decided to keep on walking.
I brought a couple extra people with me a woman with her granddaughter and it was This woman's responsibility to watch my kid what she failed miserably.
We had a meeting before leaving the car that if anybody got lost to look for the Disney person with the Mickey mouse ears with a badge on.
And of course that's who brought her back!
During that time. In the later 80s a child was abducted from the Volusia Mall in Florida and that was all that was on my mind!
Thanks for sharing on your review.

Ouch. A jarring squeeze to the heart.... Well written. It makes an impact Before I read this. I was feeling sorry for myself due to a recent break up. My little heartache before reading has been trumped by this tragic tragic true story. Very well written ...

Well I hope it touched you in a positive way it's not something very nice to post or even want to say.
It's absolutely necessary as a wake-up call and keep an eye on your child not every or even minute know where that child is every second.
Because in a heartbeat your child can disappear forever!
Thanks for your review and sharing.
