A very well-done acrostic poem about your twin dogs. The imagery is excellent and full of the possibly disastrous results of two dogs chasing each other through the house.

Ha ha ha, the terrible twins here who are running riot and these words are delivered with some love behind them and you made me smile, a fun post, love Dolly x

Thanks so much, Dolly. Jan

Fine work in the form--charming verse doesn't seem forced as many acrostics do, especially a long one such as this. Brilliantly evocative of frisky pups at play!

Your poem shows me how active these little guys were. I especially liked the last part as 'twin wreckers in non-skid paws.' I half-expected them to skid and slide a lot but it seems they could change direction easily. Thanks for sharing the fun. This should have been in the acrostic poem contest.

lyeochka: I couldn't enter it in the acrostic poem contest because it was a rewrite of a previous poem posted in 2012 entitled Mac and Gwen. Besides, I already have an acrostic in the contest (at least I think I do - lol). Jan

What a delightful scene you paint with your words of these madcap pups! The use of scampering, hotfooting and erupting bring energy and liveliness into the poem. What fun the dogs and the readers are having.

You did a great job, Jan, with your fun poem. I could see the scotty puppies having such fun and you enjoying them, too. Your lines read well with great descriptions. I had kitties who acted similar--running, jumping, chasing, etc. We called it the 'white kitty Olympics.' Pets bring much joy to people. We had a stray bulldog and her puppy that visited a lot. Momma dog would chase Puppy around a cedar bush, then they would turn around with Puppy chasing Momma. I enjoyed reading your fun story. [There is no picture]
Thanks for sharing.
Respectfully, Jan
