I really enjoyed reading your story. You have such a wonderful way with words and are quite adept at expressing yourself. I found this writing to be very interesting. It held my attention throughout. Your vivid descriptions made it easy for me to visualize the scenario you were writing about. Excellent job!

I thought your opinions were well thought out and defended. Your writing was good and your picture captured your most important sense. Good luck in the contest!

I totally agree with your rationale for valuing "the ability to see and visually perceive" as a priority. Like you, i agree that "sightlessness would mean the loss of the beauty of the natural world and the visual arts created by humans."
I'm intrigued that you currently feel the need to "turn up the music when concentrating on a project", yet value quiet for thinking.
I enjoyed reading your well thought through explanations, giving a glimpse of your lifestyle and how you would address any changes through losing your hearing.
Correction: other senses may provide heighten awareness (should be heightened)

Hey, Lisa May, thanks for the catch. I will correct. As for playing music, it helps me concentrate when I'm working on a task. I actually don't hear it when I'm in a zone. Appreciate your feedback.

This is well written and certainly leaves you with questions about ourselves. We don't really dwell on these thoughts until we lose some sense and never get to choose. My grandmother was blind. Went blind at 40 and for two completely difference reasons just two months apart. She always said she would miss hearing more than her sight.
I enjoyed this. Nicely done.

Thank you for taking the time to read and provide feedback. Much appreciated. I must bow to some who truly endured the hardship.

This is very well written and a great entry for the contest. I agree with you that losing one's sight would be very hard to bear. Not being able to see our loved ones, and all the beauty around us, and not being able to read, would be the worst that could happen.
