Thank you, Dick Waters. We are not united as we should be. The US is the best Nation in the world and because of that, we are hated. Our people are the people of the world and they take advantage of our freedom. Have a happy Fourth of July. Stay safe. :)

Thank you, Katharine. I've gotten so that there is a little of me in the poems I write. :) I'm kind of tired as I see this world in chaos. BUT, I haven't given up. :)

yes - just listening to the news is exhausting and depressing. Hopefully 2022 will bring some good changes.

I really enjoyed it, Jose and you are most welcome. Did you know that July 1is Canada Day? Most bordering towns usually celebrate both holidays, lol, it makes for a great long weekend.

This poem reminds us we should honor the war dead and show respect to vets that fought for us in any war. Without their sacrifice, we wouldn't still be celebrating July 4th.

Why wait till it happens again?
Some people just have to get people killed.
Their daddy wasn't nice to them.
The UN should target them and kill them.
Untill the will to fight is nullified.
No need to fight big wars.
Kill the bastards at the top. :-))Z.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
This passage is clear and simple, to believe upon Jesus Christ brings salvation, redemption, and secures eternal life. He alone grants peace and rest. The world by and large as you can see know very little of such peace. Jesus is that peace and Jesus is rest.

Another war is on the horizon...some war will always be on the horizon .they have to be for the armaments industry to survive..
