Wow! I imagine you may have hit a lot of nerves with this one - not that you meant to, I suppose. It has been so long since I've heard any of those words, I might die of shock should I hear them all at one time. That is not to say I am not married to a good man (after all, he has put up with me for almost 48 years) - just not romantic. Good luck in the contest.

Oh, what every gal longs to hear! Your words brought back memories of the first flushes of new romance, when such longings actually came true! The true test of time was when, many decades later, after rough times spent apart, I would again hear some of those words, spoken in spite of him knowing all of me, the good, the bad, the ugly!

"Sweet Talk" is so beautifully done and in so few words that it surprisingly comes to life. The one wishing for such lovely conversations comes alive and I'm sure any reader envisions her immediately.

Great entry for this contest. I am sure all of us appreciate sweet talk from a loved one. My husband passed away several years ago, but I still have great memories of his sweet words that made me feel special.

I enjoyed this because I totally agree. We all like the sweet talk. Too often it is something we're more likely to get when we're dating, and we're never sure just how sincere it is. Later, when we're married, guys who have struggled to win our hearts assume we know they love us, and they think we don't have to have that sweet talk anymore.

Your art choice sets the mood for your contest entry well. I enjoyed reading it. I agree that sweet talk makes all the difference in how a couple feels about each other. Those moments are special to them. The title is a good choice, but I would not bold or capitalize those same words in the text of the story. Best wishes.
