This poem is exceptional. From the beginning to the end! I love the way it flowed. I too love to people watch especially at the state fair and the mall....lol

I love this poem. I can totally relate to the, "bad habit." I have a tendency to stare as well, but my subject of choice are couples. I wonder how they met, how long they have been together, etc. Couples that are sitting to dinner at a table but both in their own worlds on their cell phones make me a little sad. I love the style of poems that rhyme the last words and that tell a story and that make you feel. That was this for me. I enjoyed your poem very much.

Thank you so much for reading my poem. I agree about how disconnected people are today. When I met my husband there were no cell phones(I just showed how old I am)oops! Anyway, thanks for this nice review. :)

I truly enjoyed your poem because I do the same thing. People fascinate me, too, and I can't stop staring at them. You describe those that intrigue you most. I especially relate to your saying you write stories about some. So do I. Thanks for sharing and keep on staring. Rod

I love this and feel the same. I enjoy observing people and am often amazed at the courage that some display in going against the norm-they are my favorites as I see them as brave and courageous. Good writing.

I have a similar habit, but I try not to stare. I look discreetly over my glass I'm drinking, or pretend I'm on my phone reading, (especially if I want to snap a picture to show my friend someone's quirkiness)but I love to make up stories about them in my head. I actually think I'm more observant that way because when I ask my husband what he thought or did he see what I had seen, he usually says no. Good luck in the contest!
