I thoroughly enjoyed your ramble, Sankey. My husband was recently diagnosed with diabetes, and there is simply so much to learn. I, too, am scheduled for a blood sugar test because I have similar symptoms. And, daily I hear food reports from my pregnant daughter who has gestational diabetes. We are all struggling so.
I wish us all luck with this learning curve. It is overwhelming.

Thanks Bro, I was almost not diabetic at one time, as you may have seen elsewhere but then the great weight loss turned out to be lack of nutrition due to Coeliac disease so go figure.

I found your ramble very interesting. I have heard "Truelicity" advertised, but I really didn't know what it was. I have also heard that most diabetics in this country or going to one of six different devices that give you continuous reading of your blood sugar with not needles involved. My daughter was diagnosed with hypoglycaemia years ago. Two days ago she was she told she was pre-diabetic. I'm surprised I'm not because I've always had a weekness for sugar. When you first mentioned the three C's you had one spelled Cole. Did you mena coke or cola?

Hey Sankey. Been there done that with the type 2 and insulin
There is a British study out, and it works for me. One handful of peanuts in the mornings and will keep the B/S/ normal all day. It works. My Dr took me off the insulin and put me on a little white pill before Breakfast. It works. No more shots.

Thanks Bro. As I posted to someone else I was at one time almost NOT diabetic anymore but other things happened that changed things. Save time read some other responses to reviews to learn more.

Any improvement for you makes me happy. However don't let you bathroom episodes so on too long. A Celiac person has a high level of sensitivity to drugs and foods. Just saying. I'm having a terrible reaction to something this week and I'm not sure what it is. I've been very ill and housebound since I returned from vacation. Possibly food poisoning. Keep close to the doctor even by email. I'm glad about the weight loose, yaay! and that you've learned the value of good eating.

That was really interesting, Sankey, my brother was born diabetic (Diagnosed at 18 minths) and my granddaughter was 12 when she was diagnosed. Both type 1. The advancement in knowledge and medication from those days, has been astonishing. The tests my mother had to carry out on my brother was awful. I'm so pleased for you, (Not that you have diabetis) it sounds like you have now got the best of both worlds, losing weight, as well! But, the one down side at the moment, the bathroom run, lol, will sort itself out soon, I'm sure. I will be watching out for your rambles and see how things change. Nicely done, my friend. :)) Sandra xxx

Hi Dolly, you are right and at one time the local GP said I was almost NOT Type 2 anymore. Alas as mentioned at much later times due to other meds for other problems that actually push up blood sugar levels I have to keep testing blood sugar levels. Type 2 is only one of my problems. Thanks for coming along and being "first cab off the rank."

I added to a chapter in my autobiography recently a letter from Neurosurgeon who had a bit of a sense of humour and he said to my now-retired ENT specialist "Geoffrey" (me) was not put together properly." Hehe! I agree!
