This is really a nice Haiku. For, you happen
to follow all of the rules. Therefore, you have
the skills to pay the bills. And I hope to read more
from you. Keep Writing. Nevertheless, I will be
looking forward to seeing you, when you stop by
my spot to enjoy some of my poetry.

Thank you for your lovely review. I'm sorry it took so long to respond, as I have been ill and not on the site. Hugs.

This is an excellent 5-7-5 poem that shows the fun of eating berries from the vine, which I have done. There is a good feeling in your words and it takes the reader out into nature.

This is a cautionary tale with a note of humor. The reader is invited to develop the art of a sense of humor toward themselves. My mother used to say we could have one berry while we were berrying. She reminded us we'd have a nice pie and some berries in milk and sugar. We followed that dictate and had pie & berries in milk and sugar.

What a compliant child you were! :-) My brother, sister, and I usually just ate the berries. Ha ha

There unfortunately has never been much of a compliant bone in my body & I've gotten in plenty of trouble for it. It's clearly Karmic.

Six if I had one. The child passes the empty pail to mom, but mom will fill it with a memory of the moment and an aching love. the pail will never be truly empty. The child feels safe and loved enough to smile as she passes to the mother an empty pail with berry stained fingers. The stains are not stains of shame or guilt in this relationship. they are stains of joy and freedom. Well done my friend, Tim

Thank you so much for your supportive and encouraging review, Tim. I humbly appreciate it, and the thought of a six star rating is good enough for me! Hugs and blessings.

AND I just used my last six! (Timing has always been an issue with me!)
This is seriously adorable! I think I was one of those kids... My grand-mom would take me berry picking and my general default was: "One in the bucket, two in my mouth!"
Happy memories! (Maybe not so much for my grand-mom, though)
Somehow she always managed to get at least one pie made!
Smiles.

The same for me! I think this is how a miniature berry turnover was created. :-) Thank you so much for your review and comments. Appreciate it much. Hugs and blessings.

Wonderful! Brilliant title and whimsically vivid image--chagrined (note spelling--only one "R") purple smile. This charmer may be a winner. FIngers crossed.

OOOPS! I think the pie filling is already in the tummy and the crust will have to follow...lol I remember as a kid picking berries and it is so easy to eat, eat, eat....Very cute and truthful too! Smiles, Carol

Same here, Carol. Berry picking was a daily adventure for my brother, sister, three younger cousins and I during the summertime. We rarely got a pie. :-) Thanks for the comments and review. Hugs.

This is just precious! How many times has this happened to me. One we retell of the strawberry field catastrophe. Many mouths were red.... and there was certainly no shortcake.
Sending you my best today as always and best wishes for the upcoming contest,
Sal XOs....

Berries are just so tiny, it can't hurt to eat just one? And one more? And one more. :-) Thank you so much for your comments and review. Hugs and blessings always.

That is a great entry for this contest. I like the picture you have chosen. You tell a very true story about picking berries with children. It is much easier to eat more than they save.
