I love your poem. It is inspirational and reassuring. "I count blessings in gratefulness, hope my faith will clear this mess." Those are great lines that mean, "let go and let God." Best wishes in the contest.

Very nicely done. Mariners had much cause for faith in the old days. It sounds as though 'set and drift' is similar to heading being offset from track by wind speed and direction in an aircraft.
