Not while I have a mouthful of coffee, Liz! Is your personal life ever bereft of humor? You find it in everything. My kids were raised with those old-fashioned cloth-and-giant-safety-pinned diapers. I figure we saved thousands over Pampers. Well, until you tallied in the plumbing bills. This was computer screen-wiped funny!

Aah! To give the girls credit, they showed great initiative in ensuring the problem didn't recur. Doubtless the parents needed scissors to undo the diaper for the next change. Very humorous.

I loved this! I laughed with the electrical tape. I can picture it. At least the girls were quick on their feet and were resourceful. I hope the babysitting service was successful after that. Besides my siblings, I never babysat for an infant, so more power to them. Thanks for the chuckle!

The gist is true--I don't think they wasted the diapers. It's not illegal to quote brands--years ago they weren't allowed to do so in commercials.

Hello Liz.
The electrical tape was a reasonable solution. It was very reasonable since that is all they could find. However, peelable double sided tape to a young teenager is not always obvious. Hopefully they didn't throw away the paper diapers. All in all, I would say that was a very good experience for them both.
