I got a laugh because I'm the oldest too and I would have done the same thing. One word is missing in the first sentence of the last paragraph. I saw John as he drove up our driveway.

Thank you for the word catch. I spoke with John last week and brought up that story. We still laugh about it. I could not have had a better older brother.

This is a neat little tale of quick thinking by John. I have a feeling he will go far in life. This one actually counts out as 98 words (MS Word counter). Maybe they give you the benefit of the doubt or maybe you could add a couple of adjectives somewhere. Shouldn't be too much trouble.

Thank you for the feedback and kind words. Unfortunately, John had a very hard life. He was in the 1st Cavalry in Vietnam and was not the same when he returned. Alcohol almost killed him. But his Cav buddies got him help. I am HAPPY to say my brother John is now the brother he was before March of 1968. I love him dearly and we speak on the phone almost every week.
