What a beautiful sonnet, feelings of the heart do not need paperwork, a piece of paper does not have the strength to join people, an excellent read, if I may the last line of your second stanza " The they..." I think a typo has been left here, best wishes for your contest****kahpot

Excellent rhyming throughout with a very smooth flow.
You are right about June; I got married on June 1st. Thanks for sharing a most enjoyable read; the very best to you in the contest.
