You should have entered this one in a money-paying contest. I really enjoyed it. I can't even pick a favorite line. I suppose it would be the second one because when reading it I thought, that's exactly what happens --the water is silver colored then it becomes gold as the sun rises. I love that image. I also like the rhyme.
Great job. Hope you win. I will be voting for sure.

I really like the pic you chose for this haiku. You pull out the beginning of a perfect day. You accent it and then elongate that moment into the perfect day. very nice nature haiku. keep up the good work.
