What a great use of metaphor in your poem! Life is a journey but to have the "journey's end" the purpose for living be the addressee - is the highest expression of love. Hope you do well in the contest!!

I liked to image of the kid with his bike. Earth tones are my favorite so I loved the colors in the image. The poem was short but said so much that is meaningful. This is a great entry.

You have written a very short love poem here that I find quite moving. The Speaker appears to have spent much of his life looking for the right person and has found her at last. I can hear his plea: Please stay. I hope she does.

I like the open-ended nature of this short poem. Having found the person you have been seeking, you are reluctant to let go. This is understandable in the case of a life partner or a cherished child. However, in the latter case, there comes a time when they need to fly the nest, no matter how much anguish this may cause.

I find these tiny pieces difficult to write well. So when I come across one that says something important in those few syllables I always try to give the author the credit deserved.
