Blessings and thank you for your encouraging words and 5- star rating. I really appreciate hearing that my poems spark some sort of interest in the reader even if they have to go back and read it again at times to get the full meaning. I know personally, those are the poems that I myself like reading and enjoy the most. Honored to hear from you

This is a well thought out and thoughtful presentation for the 'Nature's Breath' writing prompt. Your author's notes are also an important element in your message. Well done.

I've tried to explain to folk who don't believe, the mystery of belief, it's not with these senses man believes, or the nature of things, that is of the senses, but the supernatural is seen by the heart, and the Spirit of God imparting that knowledge. I was imbued with revelation when I was 41, and never became a poet until after that, the sunset became a total revelation to me, I can see the resurrection story in the seasons, but before that I was blind to the correlation between nature and a godly revelation, we live in two worlds, with two wisdom perspectives. Beautifully written, blessings Roy

Blessings Roy and thank you for your 5-star rating and comments. As a Pastor/Poet I'm always trying new ways to share the Gospel in new ways. However, I also realize that ultimately it is the the Holy Sprit that ultimately brings new life to all those who believe by faith that Jesus Christ is Lord.

Breathtaking! Stunning take on the theme of wind--this may well be a winner--nothing else like it! Startling and powerful spiritual imagery--thanks for notes.

Beautifully written and filled with faith and belief in the Lord and the hereafter. I believe we experience rebirth with every rising sun with a change to live the life as God sees and not the one of mankind. Thanks for sharing, Smiles, Carol

Blessings, and thank you Carol for your kind words and excellent review. I'm including this to my author's notes to hopefully, clarify some questions others had about this poem. the SUN represents The SON, Jesus Christ himself seen with new spiritually awakened eyes and the CAT represents any religion; CATechism, philosophy or belief that does not recognize and teach the need, as Jesus said, to be born again in the spirit to be able to see the Kingdom of God. The CAT represents the natural thought and reason we are all born with V's the spirit led, life of faith, that comes by being born again in the spirit. The natural leads to eternal sleep while the spiritual new birth leads to eternal life.

Spectacular writing and lessons on faith... this is just wonderful and I love the words in the after write... I too pray it will touch someone who needs to hear these words and understands your poem as a simile... great work here and best of luck in the contest!

The words of your poem catch my attention, and the words of Jesus are timeless and unforgettable; words often quoted throughout the last two millennia. I have been born again, and I wouldn't want it any other way.
I don't fully understand the connections between all the images and references in your poem, especially the cat, the idle words, the sun and the morning dew, but I do understand the relationship between the Spirit and the wind, as Christ explained it. I love your picture!
If you would like to elaborate on the meaning of your poem, I am interested.

You're very welcome, Frank. Thank you so much for the blessing, and for your wonderful explanation of the meaning of your poem! Now it all makes sense. Rarely do I read anything with such symbolism on FanStory. May God bless you in your life, and continued writing. - Mary Kay

The grace of God is like the wind. No one can see it. No one knows from where they will come from and when. Once we have faith in our hearts, we will know the answers. I liked your philosophical poem. Good luck in the contest!
