This is a clever write for the 'Natures Breath' writing prompt. Your picture choice is well matched to your writing and your words make it fun. All the best to you.

thank you. have been meaning to ask - that IS you on the horse, right? in a beautiful blue "cloak"?
-
Yes, it is me on the horse! The blue cloak is from a company "Holy Clothing' thank you
-
That's really neat.
Years ago I ordered one of those long, Aussie black (sort of canvas) coats with the peplum (or whatever you call it) across the back, and ten thousand snaps - on pockets, down front, across bottom and also about 2 feet up so you could shorten it. It's pretty cool. Have worn it once. Maybe granddaughter will think it's cool - though probably not. Somebody ought to wear it. I'm keeping it for whomever. :)

PS
going to check out Holy Clothing

awesome!

This is an excellent point and I'm glad you personified the wind and put it in the first person. It was humorous from start to finish and the wide benefit is showing that we humans can be hard to please. Great job.

I love this funny poem, a nice twist on the subject. It couldn't make up it's mind, but I like rain and wind so I say bring it on. A cute image to go with it, this is a fun entry. Best of luck. :)

thanks. I like wind and rain, too, as long as I'm not out in it. :) And I'll take rain any day as we always need it.
Thanks for your very kind words.

A cute poem of the world looking through the eyes of the wind. A unique way of showing what the wind thinks about when it's deciding how it will use its breath on any given day. Good luck with the contest.

Thank you!
I just read yours, and it did, too!!

I really enjoyed this very creatively written poem. Very fresh and original - and you leave it to the reader to imagine the chaos and havoc the wind has caused for each of the people mentioned! Great image too. Best wishes for the contest!

Hello Mystery Writer!
What a hoot!
Of course, from what I have gathered about Texas at the moment, you folks definitely could use cooler temperatures and some refreshing wind.
Love your scenarios and rhymes.
Best Wishes!
Stay cool!

Haha, you did a great job with your contest entry, Mystery Author. I enjoyed reading it. Your lines read well, the rhymes are good, and the POV is perfect. Her in Texas where I live we have some kind of wind everyday it seems. Most of the time it borders on strong. today--hot and dry. I love the personification of the wind. Best wishes.
Thanks for sharing.
Respectfully, Jan

You must be in West Texas, Ms. Jan. I'm south of Austin, North of Houston, but feels more like Houston.
I really appreciate all your very nice comments!
-
😊 Midland-- more like the windy city

I'm not much for wind, but this humid heat is wilting. Plants and flowers going wild, however. That, I love.

This is very good. The alternate rhyme scheme flows... well, it flows like the wind I guess. I like the little story and the personification you gave to the wind. It started off wanting to do a little mischief but in the end it provided what the people needed.

good humorous poem for the contest. I think you will do well. Most people would give higher stars but I tend to shy away from high stars for humorous rhyming poems. It is well done though and I wish you the best in the contest.
