Jan, I appreciate your words. I am new to writing and must admit very hard on myself. I know I make grammatical errors, English was not my best class. But I feel as long as the words convey a true meaning the reader can overcome a mistake or two.
I would really appreciate it if you read other stories I have written for FanStory and Vocal.

Not every one's father has or had those qualities.
Nor, I am bound to say, do their children have such clear cut values as your father's children do. However lest I seem to disparage your lovely words, I must also add that a father's role in his child's life is pivotal, crucial in fact to that child growing to maturity as a well balanced, wise individual who in turn will parent as wisely and generously as their own father did. I agree at some point but if it wasn't for my mom we would never had what we wanted. He was good and I am proud of him. His parents were from the states and maybe that's why I always loved it. Thank you for sharing. It's nice to have a dad to be proud of.

You have listed as many attributes of a good Dad as I could think of, and a few more. I found myself nodding my head while reading. The only thing that detracted from my pleasure was the dark green background. It made reading very difficult for me.
