First - one nit from the editor in me: "for people" to be happy - for is not necessary in this case...now - great poem! Mr. Rogers is my hero and I loved his kind and gentle ways. I watched him even if children were not around... It always hurt me when people denigrated him - kindness is what the world needs. Good work and blessings for this ode to a wonderful man

Your ode, a tribute to Fred Rogers, who we all know as Mr. Rogers is most closely written in the Horatian ode format and is not limited by a rhyming schema. It straightforwardly praises Mr. Rogers's dedication and works with children. You do an excellent job of covering a range of his attributes. Best wishes in the contest.
