Lovely free verse write JLR. You had me entranced reading through the blowing of bubbles, I used to love doing that with children and grandchildren, to the many bubbles of Nature. Wish I had my sixes back, loved this true flowing free verse.
cheers,
valda

How stunning. I love to watch the tiny bubbles (so fairylike) drift in the open wind. My granddaughters and I always pick up several bottles from the dollar store so they can play to their hearts content, laughing and chasing the bubbles. Your connection with life and the bubbles was beautiful. Thanks for sharing. Smiles, Carol

I enjoyed reading your poem very much. I felt like I was there under the waterfall with you, enjoying the sights and sounds that you described. I especially liked the way you segued from the bubble wand to the waterfall and then at the end from the waterfall to the clouds and back again. Very nice!

I thought about Bubbles and how I liked to watch them. Next time my
grandchildren blow them I will see them differently. The author's words
are interesting, exciting, clear and creative. The poem flows and connects well. The artwork goes perfect with this poem. Have a great weekend!

A thoughtful and beautiful poem. You invite the reader to remember back to childhood and the simple pleasures of bubble wands. Then you invite the reader to accompany you on a voyage of discovery - the presence of bubbles in nature, each time a different role. And we meditate on not only nature's beauty, but the delicacy and interweaving of the role of bubbles in the cycles of life. Well written.

Comment from Susan Newell
Your poem about bubbles could easily be understood to be a metaphor for all of life as it changes form and recycles in one way or another. You alluded to that slightly with your nod to the trees and fertile soil. What was once, will be again, but never the same. The intertwining dance of life is miraculous indeed.

Susan, aha! Thank you are the only one who caught this slight metaphorical transference embedded within this free verse. bet your were great I?m math and science?. 🙏🙏🎶🎶

Actually, I didn't excel in either of those, though I might have, had it not been for a series of inept teachers and the introduction of new "learning programs" at critical points. Those programs upended traditional teaching and substituted methods through which you were to "absorb" information. I've never forgiven my high school administrators for that. Theoretical physics fascinates me, and I might have pursued that given proper learning opportunities early on.

Susan, I will never be able to offer absolution to my English teachers ... English was a second language for me in grade school and I never had a teacher take the time or make the effort, while I aced every other subject matter handily. S0, kudos for your life-long studies and broad interests

You have certainly mastered English as a second language -- more so than most who are born to it. Keep writing.

The free verse format suits this theme of freedom, and I think you had some great images here of the bubbles like clouds, drifting off in the breeze like our dreams. Nice job with the alliterative effects too. estory

You've done a wonderful job of describing the many instances that bubbles play a role in our environment, our lives. Of course the memory of blowing bubbles as a child will always be a highlight.
