Didn't you get a card stating that you had the first and second vaccine? I think I would have one written up if you didn't because that would save you from much stress.

Since I live in the US, I can't really say how things are around the world, Canada or Romania. But we carry a laminated cards that have the dates of both vaccine shots. Of course, we no longer have to wear masks even in crowds, not that I ever did much. But like with where you are and everywhere else, things can change overnight. So, here's hoping nothing interrupts your vacation! Have a nice trip! Thanks for sharing.

What a great heartfelt rant about this stupid covid crap. I go to physical therapy and still have to wear a mask because they haven't gotten a personal message from CDC that they can discontinue the masks, even for those of us with proof we've had the jabs. Hope you find a way to jab them!

I think this is a great coronavirus rant. It really digs into the frustrations of trying to get back to 'normal.' You have to wrestle with the boss, the airline, the border guards...nobody knows if anything is set in stone. It is all teetering on a knife edge, ready to drop out of balance at the first sign of an outbreak. You can't count on your flight, you can't even count on being able to prove you are vaccinated in all this red tape. And you still have to wear the mask. You had plenty of angst in the voice and that really brought us into the feel of this. estory

What a complicated mess you are having to deal with, Iza. You wrote it here well. I could feel your frustration about the virus resurgence and the change of plane ticket dates. I do hope everything works out well for you. I know from earlier writings about your home in europe and desire to visit.

I was thinking after I am fully vaccinated I am [of going to live. . . ] going to live in Paradise. But, there is no difference! I still have to wear the damn mask.
Today, I almost got [ had ] a heart attack, KLM sent me a message that my flight was cancelled. Like what the hell, not again! Now what? The reason: Coronella spread? Like how? Europe was the first one to jump on the jab, and they even made it mandatory not like here, if you want to , we will get you! [ funny space before comma made the comma go down to next line ]
Original flight booked in February: Edmonton-Amsterdam-Bucharest 31st.[ no period ] of July to 31st of August. After I had a fight with my boss, [ I needed to fly . . . ]that I need to fly for my mental well being, now I need to go through this again. KLM changed my returned [ return ] flight from August 31st to 2nd September. How the hell I am supposed to convince my Boss [ to allow the extra days? ] for the extra days? The scary part is that I have no guarantees that will stay this way. There is one month left until my departure, and all hell can break loose.
I ran out of vacation, and my charming face is tinted by Modernella. With my two vaccines I still need a PCR test to travel and because my vaccine [ vaccines ] were done in pharmacies, which are considered by the local government private, my immunization records is not official. Heil freaking Mary! Will my receipt from the pharmacy be enough as proof of the jabs?

My oh My...I got the shot today and they gave me a card stating that I was vaccinated to carry in case I was asked... Every country is doing things differently instead of working together.. Of course, that's why our politics and everything else is so messed up. Good luck, Iza.

I'm with you on this one. I hate wearing my mask and even though I've had both my jabs, like you, it seems to mean nothing! We keep hearing rumours that this virus is going to stay with us for a very long time. If it is, I hope it will be handled like the flu. Well done, Iza, a brilliant rant about the mask! :)) Sandra xx

One piece of red tape after another. I do understand. I don't understand why people who are fully vaccinated need to wear a mask. Researching is showing the masks don't do any good anyway. Thank you for sharing.

Your life sure does get complicated, Iza. :) Yes, it does seem that new variants are attacking parts of Europe again, so we still have a long way to go to be safe. I'm sorry your flight was changed or cancelled. I'm thinking about flying out to BC to see my family. My second shot was also done at a pharmacy, so I hope the emailed receipt will be valid for flying. Good luck.

It seems like your nightmare is continuing. You shouldn't need to wear makes in the states anymore now that you're vaccinated, but I don't know what the deal is with international flights. You have a problem. I hope it works out for you. I know you need to see your family.
