This 1-6-1, I Do, has the right set up and has the readers hear the phrase then launches every marriage off into the sea of possibilities. Can we believe in this institution? I do.

Hmm, this jumps out at you with the first word. One does not expect to the word DEAD in relation to a wedding. But the next calms the reader, like-- Oh!
You did a good job with rhyming and reading it all, it makes perfect sense. The beginning does its job of capturing the readers' attention.
