Layered and lovely. This not only paints the pictures it speaks to the senses. The color scheme somber. Even in leaving, she is leaving a part of herself to others. Did she spend time on the streets in the rain. So much to ponder.

I see you have not lost your knack for writing words of wisdom...You have captured in words what so many others struggle to express. This reminds me of something I wrote a while back called "In A Good Will Box"..Thanks for sharing this..Think it just might get my fingers dancing again on my keyboard of imagination...

Hello Gypsy.
Whether haiku or senyru, this is a marvelous 5-7-5 form
with wonderful imagery and grammatical connection.
The satori is splendid and lets the words expand outward.
Nice use of multiple senses.
You've touched all the bases on this one.
Best wishes.

Hello, Robert,
It's a Humanity haiku with a kigo, Senryu doesn't have a Kigo.
Thank you very much for the six stars and exceptional review. It's always good to hear from you ;)

Hi Gypsy,
If I had a six, it would be yours! When a haiku is done right, it is so so powerful ...
and this one is done right. Made me almost cry, as you captured such a feeling of sorrow in the reality of death.
The photo to accompany is striking and enhances that mood of sadness ... winter rain.
Wish I had saved a gold star for you :-(
Always,
Senyai

'Last Goodwill Boxes', is sort, succinct and more than a little heart-wrenching. It was a pleasure to read and review this talented poet's work.

These are sad words as a period of grief brings the winter rain after this forced donation, few words speaking volumes here, much enjoyed, love Dolly x

I find this skillfully-written, beautiful poem to be very moving in the message it implies. After losing a loved one, one way to find comfort is to use what she left behind to help someone in need.

Gypsy, I hope that you have made a book or booklet of these haiku. This one is somber because it mentions a loss of a Mother. Her clothes in boxes to give away to the good will getting a winter rain drenching!

This is heartbreaking, I know because I've been through it. Its hard to let go of memories that are contained in possessions of those we love. Thank you for this thoughtful poem.
