Well. Your humour strikes again, but more subtly than the sledgehammer. What I especially liked about this, and the reason I finally dusted off another six star rating was your choice vocabulary:
infamy-forty pounds above (note I have no idea how much that is in real weight - 20 bags of sugar I think)-consequent to-purging-torturous-demons-The remaining fifteen pounds vanished, effortlessly within a week of the birth of each of my children-snidely-infinitesimal-unsettled-distressed-hurled-superfluously.

It was a joy.

This story is a humerous tale told in a manner that is engaging to the reader.

The title is particularly well suited and the image accompanying the piece reinforces the theme and tone of the writing

Nicely done.

Hahaha. I'm glad you saw this one through. We have all certainly felt like destroying the scale. Something has to be to blame instead of blaming our disgusting habits. So I had an MRI once, they asked me my weight instead of weighing me. At the doctor's office two weeks later, they officially weighed and me and were concerned that I had gained 25 pounds in those two weeks! I had to confess that I had guessed (lied) about my weight. Lol. But at the doctor earlier today, I'm down 17 pounds since my visit a year ago! :)
Hilarious: a student teacher in a fifth grade class of demons.

This was a laugh-out-loud read! Being one who has struggled with food addiction my whole life, and repeatedly utilized schemes, rationalizations, and quirky ways to "cheat" the scale, I was able to identify. I appreciate being able to laugh at myself, an experience elicited by this punchy and oh-so-honest story.

This is totally hilarious. I wish I had a six for it. The way you described your weight gain put a bit smile on my face. Yes, those M&M's, GIF peanut butter etc. would do it. I liked the reason for your first 20 pound weight gain - a class full of demons (lol).

I liked calling your husband Dick #1. Was there a Dick #2? (lol). I wonder if he ever got his weight down from 235?

Excellent creative imagery, good attention to detail, humor - all in all it was a perfect read.
