Telling by your author notes you achieved your goal. It's a sad poem. I hope we will be okay and I still believe in miracles.

Thanks for the excellent review and I am glad the poem seems to have gotten across that sense of living in unsettling, uncertain times. Miracles happen to those who believe in them. This series is still in the dark, but stick with it and it will move into the light. estory

Freat and at the smae time frightening imagery, dear friend. So well descriptive notios of a world that could be real, someday, sometime. The line os a blood moon gave me the chills, Great warning about all those plastic that we use, without considering our landscape.

Thanks for the excellent review and your perspective on the poem. Most people have commented on the vivid and disturbing imagery, and I am glad that seems to have come off. The image of the moon comes from Revelation; the sun will be darkened, the moon will turn to blood. estory

Hi Estory,
This is so descriptive and frightening! We might be rushing in this direction as so much of this scenario is being fulfilled ... the apocalyptic feel is overwhelming and makes one think about trying to change some aspects of the way the world as a whole lives these days.
Your overtones of doom are pervasive and shocks the reader into awareness and the need for action. This island of plastic bottle and bags is such a real danger and the loss of miracles such a dire consequence of losing our love and faith. How can we not turn our eyes upward?
All the best,
Senyai

Thanks so much for the excellent review and I think you got exactly what I was trying to say here. I am glad the images seemed to have worked in shocking the reader into taking a look at the way things stand and maybe thinking about reconnecting to God as the answer. Thanks for the mention of that island of plastic bags image. That is actually a real phenomenon in the middle of the Atlantic. estory

Thank you for your share. I feel connected to your poem because it brings up a disconnect we (people) have from the universe, from each other, and from nature. We fill up our time, keeping 'busy,' with online platforms, tv, youtube, video games in denial about all the bad going on around us. It is very overwhelming to think about which is why people use distractions and avoid real conversations/thoughts I suppose... Thank you for your post very thought provoking.

Actually miracles are still going on every day, I guess we are talking about not noticing them, because we (collectively) don't seek and watch for them, but yes, the signs of end times are definitely, selflessness still exists, but drowned out vibe the sounds of self interest. Yes, you're right, these are self destructive signs, beautifully written, blessings Roy

Thanks so much for the excellent review and your interesting perspective on the poem. I wanted to paint an extreme position, to highlight how the world in the media, the public world, has ignored religion and placed its hopes in the things made by man; vaccines and technology. Miracles happen to those who believe in them. Jesus said when he healed people "Your faith has made you well." Faith is the telecom system that connects you to God. Without it, there is no connection. estory

This is a write full of a great deal to ponder. I suppose that every new beginning, including our lives in human form is the beginning of the end in a way. Good writing.

You have summed up all the things that bring me sadness these days. I often sign petitions or letters to the powers that be, but some days it just feels useless. I say silent prayers, but I have no faith in organized churches anymore. Look what we are finding out about them!
Well done. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Thanks for the excellent review and your interesting comments on the poem. It has made a lot of people think, and I like to make people think. The church, like everything permeated by man, is in a measure, corrupt. But it is still the body and blood of Christ on the earth. estory
