I loved this nonet, I wish I had a six for it. You appeased a cat lover in me with this poem.

Great imagery and visuals, terrific presentation and a stunning picture. You've complied with the Nonet rules to a 't' and this should do very well in the contest. If it's not site's contest, you've got my vote. You have it anyway because this is adorable!

Great picture of the cat and good description of it in your nonet. This is very well done. Hope you do well in the contest. I really like the line:
"New sounds are muffled and muted"

I thought this had a great oriental feel to it, very mysterious and magical, very much a transcendent moment. Its like this image of the cat moving in the mist is trying to tell us something about life, and it is abstract enough to allow for multiple interpretations and approaches. The fact that the cat is stalking prey lends a sharper, more sinister feel to it, and you end up with this complicated view of life, with its beauty and its danger all seen together in one moment. estory

    Hi Estory,

Oh my, such a superb review and insight! I am so pleased you read those aspects into my little nonet. This is my first one. I think the beautiful image by photographer Umrun Iceoglu helped create the feel of of my poem more than my words.

Thank you again for your wonderful thoughts and review. They made my day :-)

    All the best,

You did a great job with y our nonet contest entry I enjoyed reading it. Your syllable count is correct per line, and your words are well thought out. There's good flow using descriptive words. I could see everything as I read. Best wishes.
Thanks for sharing.
Respectfully, Jan.

-Very nice image and
presentation, Senyai.
-A well written nonet
with good syllable count,
topic, imagery, and rhyme.
-You paint a vivid word
picture of the misty morning
with the added comparison
of the fog "like a wreath."
-Good concluding lines
about the cat.
-I don't know if you are familiar
with a poem by Carl Sandburg,
"fog comes like little cat feet."
-Good luck in the contest.

The strong images make this a delightful poem. The misty morning, the gray cat out prowling through the bushes, the muffled sounds all work together to create such a wonderful mood of early morning stillness and solitude. I enjoyed stepping into the scene. The syllable count is perfect. Good luck in this contest.
