It looked like Sally was moving the case forward, and things were going smoothly... And then here comes trouble using a stolen vehicle and a false name... nothing like leading them astray. But, of course, he's not going to let anything stop him or get between him and the painting... Regardless of who he hurts...But Blind Girl has a whole police force and her darling husband to protect her. Very well written, Sally, and definitely a joy to read. Keep us on our toes, Sally!! Smiles and hugs, Carol

This was a great read once again. You are first cab off the rank today. Some suggestions for you if not spags. I wondered if "forecast" was better than forcasted?
I, of course, [received](accepted??) his kindness.

Already...the humor, a bit gallows: "rousing our state bird: the mosquito." You have such fun imagery: "Unearthing myself from the covers," You're leaving us there? We'll definitely be back: "Now for the good part," she said." Another carrot to get us back here: "I'll get you too, Blind Girl, and the paintings...." Well orchestrated.

This is another well-written chapter, Sally. I can feel that humid heat in New Orleans, and feel the bite of those mosquitos. We have an abundance of them in Ontario, Canada too.

This Lonnie Hastings sounds like an evil person for sure. He's out to get Sally, but for what reason? Because she's investing the case? Now we have to worry about that. Great chapter.

This is another interesting chapter. I lived in New Orleans for seventeen years so anything that is set in that city is of interest to me. I can identify with the stifling heat you mention. It seem Sally always has someone who wants her dead. She is very clever and always solves her cold cases so I anxious to see how this one will go down.

Well, everything was going just fine, they had aquired a lot of DNA, and everyone was happy. Then that creep turned up. But they'll be none the wiser about who he is when they check out the home address. The Blind girl had better be careful, he's determined to get her and the painting. He has no idea what he's up against though. Anyone touch Sal, and they'll have the whole policeforce coming down on them, let alone King!! Another, excellent chapter, my friend. :)) Sandra. xx

Of course I won't leave you, Sal, not while I don't know whether he's going to get your paintings! You have to stop him. Sometimes people stop reviewing for various reasons. Problems at home, sickness, this virus has depressed many people, and of course just because they've gone away for a holiday. Don't worry, they'll be back. You're a very talented writer, and I admire you greatly. Sending you a ginormous hug! xxxx

And the plot thickens, of course it does, LOL. I really am enjoying this mystery. I can't wait to link the pieces together.
Jean-Baptiste sat next to Jackson and me and started to weep. (sat beside Jackson)
