A very good rendition of the contest. Presentation deserved an Oscar! (smile).

Excellent creative imagery and visuals.

Good luck in the contest - this should do very well.

This is a sad commentary on the way a person's light can be extinguished. I is a sad reality and you have written it so well. Bes to you in the contest.

I really enjoyed this piece! The graphic you chose certainly fits the bill, and the truth of your writing hits home. So much of the joy in life is snuffed out these days. Sad but true. Good luck in the contest@

I like the triple Joseph's Star because it seems you have traced the journey of a woman's lifetime from infancy through maturity and into old age and death - although it could be simply the death of one's potential through lack of nurture, lack of support. Whichever, it is thought-provoking, and well written. Good wishes for the contest.

Your poem tells the life of fire from spark to the end when it is extinguished. I thought that was pretty neat to go from one part of the fire to the next. Good luck with the contest.

Sobering cautionary tale brilliantly rendered in this stunning form. Kudos for omitting punctuation and thus letting your well-chosen words pack their punch. Stunning imagery.

Your excellent poem vividly describes the birth, rise, and fall of that
"fire"--that special light--that gives life much of its meaning. The expression "use it or lose it"--though not very poetic, comes to mind.

How short life is and our flame soon dies and what we leave behind is a dying ember of what once was a fiery flame, a trio of poignant stars here, love Dolly x
