This is a really lovely and meaning poem using gratitude as an acrostic poem. Yes we all need to have gratitude. I like the fact that you say it is an action word and so many today seem to be missing in action.

Thank you so much for taking time to comment on my poem. I definitely feel as though many are living like they are entitled to much of what should be considered favor from God. I can say this considering, it is easy to get wrapped up in self. Thank God He is long suffering and patient. My apologies for taking longer that I normally would have to respond.

The theme of this poem is seen throughout the statements from each letter in the word GRATITUDE. One of the themes I saw was to be grateful for each day God has given us. Real gratitude stems from love. Through agape' love, we lift others up without thinking of ourselves first.
Your poem is strong and can teach the reader much in a concise manner. It is a message for today. The author's notes add to the poem and are important especially in establishing that gratitude and love are action words.

Thanks Pj, as always, I look forward to your reviews. I really thought this would be a challenge for me to do, as it is my first. It was the opposite and it seemed to flow like soft butter on bread. You are welcome. I am also a big fan of Rumi and have a book of a collection of his works. What astounds me about Rumi is he wrote his poems in the 14th century and they are still so applicable today.

Gratitude is a catalyst for happiness. Starting a daily practice of gratitude can help you recognize the positive in your life instead of focusing on the negative. I liked your Acrostic poem. I only wish you had used light coloured larger fonts, preferable white on a dark grey background for ease of reading. Good luck!

Thank you so much for your time reviewing this writing. It was my first poem in this style and I really enjoyed the process in writing this poem. Really made me look at me and gratitude. I took your advice as well with the color scheme. It was in fact difficult to read lol. Thank you again and enjoy your weekend!
