Love it! Everything is happening so fast in this novel. I cannot even begin to imagine where you are going with it. I'm glad to hear that Olivia and Lyle have been married for 30 years now. That's kind of a happy ending, right?

I'm still a bit worried that Olivia/Camille was married before. I hope that doesn't creep up on her. Nice touch with her losing her eyesight.

Thanks for sharing. Great chapter! Hugs and blessings to you.

Wow! Olivia Smith Henry, a.k.a. missing person Camille Jean-Baptiste, is ALIVE? I'm thrilled! Your cold case is a very warm and living soul! And I almost missed it, because I am reading this in a very tired state of mind. I had a few choices for a "bedtime story," but yours was at the top of my list.

Suggestion for this chapter:

Mrs. Sally Law, aka, The Blind Girl.
-->
Mrs. Sally Law, a.k.a., The Blind Girl. [I looked it up -- a.k.a., when lowercase, traditionally has periods -- it also appears in your List of Characters]

***

Very pretty picture of a pregnant Olivia. I'm really glad she's alive, because I was starting to get attached to her as a character! I was even wondering, does her baby make it, is he or she born before she dies? I'm so glad they're both fine. Yes Olivia is blind, and not functioning as well as her Detective Sally Law, but maybe something can be done to help her... meanwhile there's still a dastardly murderer to catch, who killed the crooked art dealer.

Thank you for the wonderful review and helpful correction, dear. I will make sure an amend them in the author's notes, as well. I appreciate you so much. Jackson bought me A Chicago Manuel Book of Style. it has THE smallest print of any book alive ever seen.LOL! ! Typically, I'm still forced to look it up if unsure.
Sending you my best today and blessings abundant,

You're very welcome, dear Sally. Yes, the Chicago Manual is a great choice. That is really a book that should be made available in large print! Your Jackson must be a real sweetheart. God bless you both. Love, Mary Kay xoxo

The story is beginning to flow nicely, Sally, with new characters being added and developed. Looks like Sally might be unknowingly in high danger as this one progresses. Well done.

There is a nice peaceful moment for Olivia. Somehow, the reader isn't convinced this will last. Ever, the foreshadowing that promises to be a great plot extension: "Sitting on her bed for the longest time, she tried to let go of a terrible memory that had recently surfaced inside her" Tony is not letting this go. More plot. King will definitely be busy. Great work.

Oh, I love that kind of plotline. You let the reader know who's who and we watch how the other characters find out who Olivia is. I wonder how Sally will be able to connect Olivia to Camille.

It seems running away from that asylum was the best thing Olivia could have done. She has a wonderful husband and a good life. I wonder if she wants to learn who she was. She's Olivia Henry now. If it were me I might want to keep it that way.

Sally:

It appears numerous lives are going to be unsettled in the midst of this murder investigation. Surely Olivia Henry is eventually going to remember the evil husband who left her in an asylum (that will be one heck of a shock to her husband) as well as Detective Sally Law. Geez, why can't Tony, the Tiger eat his corn flakes and leave her alone!

This is a vital chapter, as it links the present cold case to the past without yet solving what happened to Camille Jean-Baptiste that turned her into Olivia, and also reveals the intent of the new villain who murdered fine art gallery owner, Duran Gibbons in Chapter Three.

Pastor Lyle Henry (now Sheriff of River Ridge) loved Olivia at first sight, so his proposal after refurbishing the second-hand crib she had bought is heartwarming, considering all she had endured. That you will be meeting her in the next chapter is an exciting prospect, given that only Miles Jean-Baptiste could recognize her as Camille (which will be another heartwarming moment when it eventually occurs). I see a bit of ironic "so near, yet so far" coming.

Clearly, Tony Alfanzi will be a new danger who will have to be thwarted, reminiscent of events when the Blind Girl was stalked by Philippe Savard in the first book of this series. Thus, the cold case is about to heat up.

Superb, and aptly illustrated.

Aw, you don't miss a thing. Those who have stayed with me throughout the series, have enjoyed my twisted plots. It's all coming to a peak here soon. Maybe twin peaks.... I'm so blessed by the wonderful review and generous stars. Thank you so much, my friend. Sending you my best today as always,

You are most welcome, Sal. Yes, I do enjoy your "twisted plots" with action occurring in more than one time frame and/or place, and each chapter ending with one or both threads at a suspense point. In this case, even if Miles recognizes Camille, there clearly is a lot more to enjoy in this story as future chapters unfold. -- Mike

Ever more interesting! I like the way you switch between scenes, so the reader is left wanting more for each one, and we want to see how the threads interweave. Well written, as always.

Well done, once again. I really appreciate all you great storytellers. Looking forward to more, soon! No spags and as I said a great read. Seeing I am now paid up for 29 months I need to get on with some more writing myself. I decided to stay.
