As a dog lover, I enjoyed your story. Bozo was a wonderful dog, he is almost like an angel, the way he appeared and disappeared into your life. Excellent canine take that touches the heart.

Wow! What a story about this precious furry friend! Seems like God knew you needed him and knew when to take him home. Some animals rather die away from their loved ones as if to spare the sorrow. Loved your story and hope you do well in the contest!

Thank you so much for the review and lovely comments. It left a very impression on me. He was a great dog. Mom claimed I prayed him back to life. I wasn't ready to deal with death. I think God honors the prayers of children.

He was sent, and you and your family tried--the lift-off, another trial that brought wisdom into play. At the time, you never realized it, but you do now. Wisdom and knowledge are two of the seven spirits of God. They manifest as you mature in Christ. Jesus said, Be matured as the Father is matured. Matthew 5.
What I have said is a deep understanding that doctrinal churches will never teach.
Good story and very real. My blessings to you.

Beth you are an emontial story teller about your injured German shepard dog decided on his own the found a home to stay.
I got choked up as I was reading the tender loving care you gave
Bozo. And how sad Bozo that he decided to leave.

SSSSSSTUPENDOUS. Stunning tale, beautifully told. Cheerssssss. LIZ
His head and neck would swell until he could barely breath=>BREATHE.
He had disappeared as mysteriouly [he had on his arrlival=>AS HE HAD ARRIVED].
I'm still thankful we didn't [loose=>LOSE] our dog during the tornado.

A poignant story that highlights the close bond between a family and a dog, who came to spend some time and then moved on.
The story is well told and engaging for the reader.
Nicely done.

This is a wonderful story, Beth. It does almost seem that Bozo was sent to you and your family for a reason, like some people are, even though we often no not why. Yes the ending was better than it might have been. He knew he was loved. Good luck in the contest.

A Great Pyrenees showed up at our house and we couldn't agree on a name. His name ended up being Big Boy. I do understand how dogs makes our lives better. I enjoyed reading your contest entry and wish you the best of luck.

Okay, I'm a sucker for animals and especially dogs. As a kid, I tried to save every wild animal that strayed onto our land and needed help. This story brought me to tears... I kept saying...Don't die. Don't die. Crazy, huh? An adult that's a big old cry baby. Loved your story. Smiles, and hugs...Carol
