"Story of a Dog named Bozo" is a story so very well done. Details of the dog and the child's response to his good nature and his difficult injuries were a big pleasure to read.

Your story of Bozo is a well told dog tale! I enjoyed this adventure immensely. We took in a similar stray German Sheperd in an urban setting. He was the best dog ever.

Wow! What a non-fiction, biographical ride you took me on. I grew up in a big city, so your childhood was completely different from mine. I could easily envision a farm on acreage with weeds and bramble. Not only was this story captivating, it was suspenseful and very well written. Best wishes in the contest.

What a wonderful story! The survival of Bozo is simply amazing and I'll have to take some time to look for some of your storm stories. This is definitely a wonderful and treasured memory! Thanks for sharing.

I love your story of this wonderful dog, who was such an important part of your childhood, such a great friend! The story of his appearance and disappearance is indeed mysterious, but you had several very special years with your faithful companion, Bozo.

Just a few spags and suggestions:

"Mom, he's not dead I called. Come see.

To my parents surprise, he was still alive the next day.

His recovery from the accident was really amazing ... and then he was gone. It's too bad he liked to chase cars, but it's something I hear many country dogs are in the habit of doing. He was obviously a very sweet and beautiful animal. Thank you for sharing your story!

Beth,

This is a well written piece! Wow! Bozo the snake destroyer, your buddy took off before the storm...lived after being crushed.

Wow again. I enjoyed reading this. Hope you win and sorry for your loss.

What an amazing story and an amazing dog. It is truly a miracle that he survived not only his will to live but the tender care that you gave him.
I also got to give a salute to your parents for not giving up on you or Bozo.
I think to think that he went on to be with another family.
Thank you for the wonderful and poignant read. It is much appreciated.
Regards,
Mary

Wow, Beth, what a story. I don't really know what to say, other than Bozo seemed to be an amazing creature. My dog, Tasha, sits here next to me as if she recognise my distress reading your story. Do you think he went away to die, after all?
Good luck in the contest. Ulla:)))

We never knew where he went. Some people seem to think that is what he did, but he didn't seem to be sick or old when he left. Thank you so much for the great review.

God knows we become totally attached to our pet dog and cat friends. I have had many in my lifetime and have loved them all the same. They were with me a while and then they were gone. Each one seemed to be just what I needed at that time. I have often wondered if they are our guardian Angels. This was a lovely story, Beth. Nancy:)

Your story is great, Beth. I enjoyed reading it. Bozo was lucky to find you and your family. I could tell how much all loved him. Pets are such important members of families. They teach all so much and give such unwavering love. I'm thrilled Bozo made it through that harrowing accident. I believe hi knew his time was up and went off to die--animals do that. Thanks for sharing.
Respectfully, Jan

Thank you for a great reveiw. I;m so glad you liked my story. God must put some instinct into animals to go off so the owners don't have to grieve so much to watch them die. It hurts so much when we are there with them.
