barbara:

Congratulations on your retirement. I hope you are better at retirement than I have been. I just can't seem to totally leave it behind.

I'm still unsure why a P.I. would be following Katherine & Gabriel - but that's what makes reading novels interesting, right? I'm thinking the girls' are going to whip those linemen on Tuesday.

We shall find out before long, I promise. LOL Thank you for the kind review.

I saw an ad here in town, K-garden tutor $50 an hour for 6 hours a week. I am seriously thinking about it. LOL

Are the girls going to win? I sure hope so.....we have track and field here tomorrow. I hope our girls win! The relays are so fun to watch but I don't think there is a hill they have to climb...just run and win. But their is a trick to running those races.

I really enjoyed this chapter. The end got me, though. I was all geared up for the 'Hill' race between the girls and boys. Next, I like how protective Gabriel is of Katherine...not letting her jog alone. And I adore his taking it slow with her romantically. Giving her time to adjust from a former bad relationship. And last, my favorite line: "Reggie, I'm falling in love with her. Any advice?" Now, in my fiction writing? The dog would have answered. lol

LOL I think Reggie answered in his own way. I appreciate you dropping by.

I am still enjoying the theme and the gentle development of the story. I haven't noticed any errors in the writing, and it flows smoothly and with authenticity. Well done.

...And the race is on! That should be a good one, with the linemen responsible for bringing the freshmen lockers outside, possibly forced to dance in front of the next rally!

After she nodded, they turned their heads as the dogs growled at the clicking of the camera, [That detective has to have the lowest IQ in the history of gumshoes, to be clicking the same pictures daily, and having them be woefully ineffective.]

"And since your team challenged us, if they lose they'll need to come up here during the next pep-rally and entertain us with a dance. Get ready, they'll lose." [If I were Edwards, I'd make sure the girls had to do something equally as embarrassing if they should lose.]

With everyone in the school's administration knowing how baseless are Rodney Frost's threats, I can't for the life of me understand why Katherine and Gabriel keep buckling under his 'paper tiger' threats. What do they have to lose making their relationship open, on-campus and off. We already know how mature both are about taking their relationship slowly. But why would they let such a weak bully control their lives? This has NOTHING to do with your excellent writing, but I'm sure I'm not the only reader wondering.

Because of public opinion. Where teachers are concerned, administration buckles under parent complaints. I've seen it happen often, even to the point if somebody posts something on your facedbook page, you can be fired. Thank you for the kind review.

Competition makes us all better, but the girls really have nothing to lose. If they win, the whole school will be amazed and, if they lose, they will be celebrated for the guts and competitive nature. If the boys win, well they should have. Should they lose, they've lost all credibility forever. LOL. Thanks for sharing.

I actually screamed, "finally!" And scared my wife. I know you're going for the wholesome Christian crowd( there is no religious in this) but yes, they are adults. Some of things they are doing just doesn't make sense. ( I know you want that ) I think you need to show the reader is baggage and why their strange behavior is necessary.

For instance, the coach is falling for Katherine but you really haven't shown why. Or vise versa. We are told too many things without evidence of.

Just something you may want to look at. Or not.

Much of this is still coming out. I am slow to have it come out. I don't think people will just spill their thoughts, I won't until I have security and a reason. Thank you for the kind review.

-First, congratulations on
your official retirement, barbara.
-I hope you enjoy it.
-This is another very good chapter
that flows smoothly and continues
the relationship between Gabe and Katherine.
-I liked how he told Reggie his feelings about her!
-The pep rally scene was also very good,
and I like the competitive nature between
the boys and girls teams. I have a feeling
those girls just might tromp those guys!
-I think Gabe and Katherine have the
right idea of taking this slowly, but
it is good they admitted to having
feelings for one another.
-They also have this P.I. and
Frost to deal with.
-I enjoyed the chapter.

Playful and stright to the point, girls can be better or can do also better in the so-called man sportr:"
Katherine nodded. "Coach Hudson, I'd say the challenge is a go." She grinned. "And since your team challenged us, if they lose they'll need to come up here during the next pep-rally and entertain us with a dance. Get ready, they'll lose."" Thank you for sharing and good luck with the next chapter.

Congratulations on your retirement. Now it's official! Gabriel is now wanting to go slow, and he was the one pushing things from the start. He's being sensible, though. In a school environment, those things can be tricky. The race challenge is an interesting development, but again it seems like something that will put more pressure on Katherine. There's been so much about jogging. We get the idea that they jog, so you might want to find some other ways for Gabriel and Katherine to interact. The idea of the race challenge was very well presented, and I like the idea of the boys dancing of they lose. judi

In the next few posts, I have cut back on the jogging, but in many situations that's the only time they have to talk. Thank you for the kind review.

You're very welcome. I don't think you have to show them together all the time. As this is her first year of teaching, I'd like some details about how she's actually doing the job. That's also part of Katherine's life, so that would be another angle to pursue. judi
